MONTCLAIR, NJ (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY): Lovely Montclair family is seeking a FULL-TIME, LIVE-OUT NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER to care for their two children, ages 7 and 10, and to help keep the household running smoothly! With dual-working parents, both in-home and in the city, and two active children, this family is seeking a candidate who is a motivated self-starter, outgoing, and engaging. Reliability is a must and very important to the success of this role. They treat their nanny as part of their family; they hope to find someone who feels the same way and is seeking a long-term placement. Given the busy schedule of both parents and children, they would like to find someone who is flexible with their schedule and open to going with the flow. MUST be able to drive and be okay with dogs!   Their daughter (10) is described as outgoing, kind, caring, and mature. Their son (7) is described as funny, active, thoughtful, and determined. The perfect nanny will nurture their qualities and help them continue to grow into mature, independent, and caring individuals. During the school year, both children attend school full-time and have after-school activities. During the summer, the children will attend camps and extracurriculars. Driving the children to-and-from activities is a must, preferably in the nanny’s car with ample mileage and maintenance reimbursements.    Duties include but are not limited to full care of the children when home, including commuting to-and-from school and activities. Planning outings, play dates, and fun activities with the children will be a part of this role. Laundry and meal prep for the family will be necessary, so must be comfortable with cooking or preparing meals for the household! Light housekeeping, errand running, and household management tasks will be included during hours where the children are not home. Someone who is experience in household management and excels with organizational tasks will be appreciated! The family has a Labradoodle that will need light walks during the day as well. The overarching goal, second to caring for the children and their needs, will be to help the household run as efficiently and smoothly as possible!   Current schedule is as follows, with the understanding that flexibility will be asked for and given in return, when possible:   Monday: 12pm - 6pm Tuesday - Thursday: 7am - 7pm Friday: 12pm - 6pm   The parents may occasionally need additional hours in the evening, weekend hours, and/or travel requests. If the nanny isn't local, please consider that driving their son to and from school, which is about 30 minutes north, is crucial. This position will involve a significant amount of driving. The perfect candidate is mature, emotionally well-balanced, professional, and displays warmth, compassion, experienced, and loves the outdoors and animals.   The candidate will need to be comfortable stepping in and helping plan birthday parties, and events, planning and shopping for the boys' clothes, running errands, and helping with anything to keep the house organized and running smoothly. The candidate needs to plan dinners and lunches, planning travel, packing for travel and vacations, and coordinating with contractors and cleaning staff. Helping prepare the house and guest rooms on occasion. Possibly attending appointments with the children and sharing feedback with the father. Working as a team with health providers to ensure a fluid approach to behavior in the home.   The family lives in a beautiful home in Franktown on 35 acres. The children want to be around the animals and the nanny would need to be comfortable being around animals. The primary focus will be on providing attentive care for baby throughout the day.   The schedule is 4 days on/4 days off providing care for the children. The children sleep through the night, however, the nanny will sleep with the baby monitors while on shift.  Candidates should have a valid passport and willingness to travel internationally and domestically. The nanny will have a private bedroom and bathroom in the family home while working. Candidates should have a home base in South Florida or willingness to relocate.     The ideal candidate will be seamlessly integrated into the family's routine, joining a team of nannies and providers.
