SILCION VALLEY & MALIBU- CANDIDATES MUST IDEALLY LIVE IN CALIFORNIA- A warm, loving, and highly engaged UHNW family with residences in both Silicon Valley and Malibu is seeking an experienced, polished, and proactive Weekend & Travel ROTA Nanny / Family Assistant to join their established childcare team supporting their two children: an outgoing and exceptionally bright 11-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter. The family spends approximately three months at a time at each residence and is seeking a candidate who is comfortable transitioning between homes, as well as traveling domestically and internationally as needed. While the family is open to exceptional candidates nationwide, preference will be given to those already based in Northern or Southern California. Accommodations during working rotations and travel are fully covered. The successful candidate will join a well-established childcare team consisting of a Head Nanny and two additional nannies, with two team members primarily dedicated to the youngest child. The role will involve supporting both children as needed while collaborating closely with the nanny team, household staff, and full-time security personnel. The family's homeschool educators operate separately from the nanny team, and all enrichment, education, and activities take place on the family's properties. There are no pets in the home.

This position follows a concentrated, weekend-focused schedule that is a core requirement of the role. The typical schedule runs from Friday at 6:00 AM through Monday at 7:00 PM and includes full daytime childcare, overnight responsibility, weekend coverage, and travel support as needed. Candidates must be comfortable working weekends on a permanent basis, providing overnight care, supporting children at different developmental stages, and collaborating within a highly professional household environment. This is not a traditional Monday-through-Friday position.

The family's 11-year-old son is homeschooled Monday through Friday from approximately 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, while their energetic 3-year-old daughter enjoys an active lifestyle filled with swimming, outdoor play, walks, and hands-on exploration. Both children are described as exceptionally happy, curious, chatty, and intelligent. Family connection is deeply valued, and both children share all meals with their mother whenever possible. Evenings follow a structured routine, with the youngest child asleep by approximately 6:45 PM and the older child by 8:30 PM, while mornings typically begin between 6:00 and 7:00 AM. The youngest child was born with hip dysplasia, though it does not limit her in any way, and she is expected to have her final follow-up appointment this September. The children have food allergies, including shellfish and eggs, and candidates should be comfortable navigating dietary restrictions and maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities include providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care; fostering confidence, independence, and emotional growth; maintaining established routines and household expectations; engaging the youngest child in enriching and active play; and supporting the older child with executive functioning, organization, accountability, and life skills. In addition to childcare responsibilities, the role includes family assistant duties such as children's laundry, inventory management, activity preparation, wardrobe organization, travel preparation, calendar coordination, documentation, and ensuring smooth transitions between residences. This household relies heavily on technology and digital organization systems. Candidates must be highly proficient with Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, WhatsApp, and shared digital tracking systems. Those who are not comfortable integrating technology into their daily workflow will not be successful in this role.

The ideal candidate is confident, calm, knowledgeable, cheerful, respectful, and proactive. A minimum of five years of professional nanny experience, significant experience caring for both toddlers and school-aged children, prior private household experience, strong written communication skills, CPR and First Aid certification, and a valid driver's license are required. The family describes themselves as deeply loving and family-oriented while also maintaining exceptionally high standards and valuing professionalism, consistency, and attention to detail.

The household is now an exceptionally well-functioning environment led by a Head Nanny who has been with the family for the past eighteen months. While there was previously more turnover as the family built out their team and systems, the family feels that everything has now fallen into place and is seeking a long-term candidate who will thrive within their collaborative, structured, and highly supportive environment.

For the privacy and security of the family, no photos of the children or residences will be shared, and all candidates who advance in the process will be required to sign a strict confidentiality agreement and NDA.

The family offers a highly competitive compensation package, including paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, and health insurance benefits. Target compensation is $150,000–$170,000 annually, with exceptional candidates possessing extensive UHNW, travel, and developmental experience considered above this range. The ideal start date is flexible and will be determined once the right long-term fit is identified.
