HICKORY, NC - A warm, welcoming, and family-oriented couple is seeking an exceptional FULL-TIME, LIVE-OUT NANNY to care for their identical twin boys, who are currently 9 weeks old. Both parents are dentists who recently relocated to North Carolina and are hoping to find a highly skilled, nurturing professional who is eager to become a long-term and trusted part of their family's village. The schedule is anticipated to be Monday through Thursday from approximately 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, though the family is flexible and willing to adjust the schedule for the right candidate (the hours are not set in stone).  The position is available immediately and is intended to be a long-term commitment spanning several years. This role is ideal for a career nanny with extensive infant experience, with twin experience being strongly preferred. Must have prior experience working with infants, especially two at a time.

The family is seeking an exceptionally competent, loving & warm, proactive, and resourceful professional who can confidently care for two infants at once while anticipating needs, solving problems independently, and maintaining a calm, organized environment. They are looking for someone who is intelligent, highly engaged, quick to learn, adaptable, and capable of seamlessly integrating into their parenting style while earning their trust through consistency, sound judgment, and excellent communication.  Responsibilities will include all aspects of infant care, including feeding, bottle preparation and warming, diapering, maintaining sleep schedules, tummy time, developmental play, reading, soothing, nursery organization, children's laundry, monitoring and replenishing child-related supplies, and creating a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where the twins can thrive. The ideal candidate will be attentive to developmental milestones, skilled at troubleshooting infant challenges, and genuinely passionate about fostering healthy growth and development during these formative early years.

The family greatly values caregivers who are patient, kind, gentle, and deeply invested in children's well-being. They are hoping to find someone who approaches caregiving with warmth and professionalism and who will care for their boys with the same level of attentiveness and dedication they would provide their own children. Spanish-speaking ability is a wonderful bonus but is not required. The family currently resides in an apartment community while searching for their permanent home and enjoys the support of nearby extended family, including grandparents and relatives who live close by. While occasional evening, weekend, or travel support may arise in the future, ample notice will always be provided, and the family maintains a strong local support system.

Compensation is competitive $30-40/hr gross via payroll commensurate with experience + dental care + 401k and 4% match. The family offers paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick time, and use of a family vehicle for all work-related transportation. Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
  • UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
  • THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
  • A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
  • 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
  • EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES
