LOS ANGELES, CA (local candidates only): Warm and wonderful first-time parents in North Hollywood are seeking a part-time nanny to care for their infant. This is a 6–12 month position, with the possibility to extend for the right fit. At the time of start, the baby will be approximately 6 months old.
This role is ideal for a nurturing, experienced nanny who specializes in infant care and thrives in a calm, supportive household. The family offers a guarantee of 80 hours per month, with a flexible weekly schedule. The typical schedule will be approximately 4 hours 5 days a week or 5 hours 4 day per week, though exact weekly hour allocation is to be determined. The ideal candidate must be comfortable occasionally working a longer shift, up to 12 hours, starting between 5:00–6:00 a.m., approximately once per week or as little as twice per month, once mom returns to work.
Responsibilities include full daytime infant care, supporting developmental milestones, and maintaining consistent feeding and sleep routines. Additional duties are child-related and include bottle preparation, baby laundry, tidying the nursery, and preparing baby food using a baby food maker.
The ideal candidate is calm, dependable, and confident in managing an infant’s evolving needs. They are proactive, knowledgeable about infant development, responsive to cues, and able to communicate clearly and respectfully with parents. Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred but not required. A minimum of three years of professional infant nanny experience is required. Candidates must be fully vaccinated for TDAP. A medical, nursing, or pediatric background is a strong plus.
Pay is $35–$45/hour, negotiable for the perfect candidate and based on experience and qualifications. Paid sick time provided. Additional paid time off is negotiable.
