Overview

Kids With Bubbles!

BIRMINGHAM, AL (NATIONWIDE CANDIDATES) - A warm, values-driven family is seeking an experienced live-in Nanny/Household Manager to partner closely with them in supporting their three young children, ages 9 months, 2.5 years, and 4 years, while helping bring lasting structure, organization, and intention to their large family home. This is a long-term opportunity for a confident, proactive professional who understands that a well-run household directly supports children’s behavior, independence, and overall development.

All three children attend preschool or a mother’s day-out–style program during the day, which allows this role to balance meaningful childcare with household management. Mom is a stay-at-home parent and is very involved, and Dad works both in and out of the home. The family lives in a spacious 7,000-square-foot, three-story home, and the initial focus of this role will be organization—creating systems, resetting spaces, putting items away, and helping the family establish routines that support their long-term household goals. Over time, the role will naturally shift into maintaining those systems and helping the children take ownership of their spaces and responsibilities.

Childcare responsibilities include supporting morning and afternoon routines, reinforcing expectations, assisting with meals, play, and transitions, and helping the children stay on task and aligned with family goals around behavior, responsibility, and respect for the home. The parents are seeking someone who can truly partner with Mom—someone confident, firm when needed, and consistent in helping the children follow through. This nanny should take pride in leaving spaces better than they found them and understand that daily resets, organization, and follow-through are a key part of the role.

Household support is centered around organization and upkeep rather than deep cleaning. The family has a housekeeper who comes weekly. Children’s laundry is a core responsibility, and family laundry would be a welcome bonus but is not required. The goal is to support an orderly home where systems are maintained and clutter does not accumulate. This is a role for someone who naturally sees what needs to be done and steps in without waiting for instruction or clock-watching. The family is looking for a true partner—someone who understands that the work ebbs and flows and is motivated by shared goals.

This is a live-in position, with a private bedroom and bathroom located on the bottom floor of the home. It is important to note that a home gym is nearby, and Dad works out early in the mornings, so there may be early activity in that area. The family also has a large 120-pound dog and an older cat, so comfort with animals—especially large dogs—is essential, and candidates should not have pet allergies. As a family, they value someone who is comfortable with their lifestyle and interests, including outdoor activities such as hunting and spending time together informally.

Flexibility to travel on occasion is a strong plus. Above all, they are seeking someone who can see a need and fill a need, who brings a collaborative mindset, and who genuinely wants to invest in helping a family run smoothly and intentionally. The family will guarantee 40 hours; however, the nanny should be open to assisting beyond that if needed. Flexibility with the schedule is key. Pay is $30+/hr gross via payroll + PTO + sick days + possible health insurance stipend for the perfect candidate.
