MINNEAPOLIS, MN(NATIONWIDE CANDIDATES) - A dynamic, high-profile family is seeking an experienced Rotational Nanny to support their three children, ages 8 years, 3 years, and 8 months. This is a long-term role operating on a 14-day on / 14-day off rotation, ideal for a seasoned, flexible professional who thrives in a fast-paced, travel-heavy household. Their lifestyle includes frequent travel and shifting schedules, so adaptability, discretion, and ease with change are essential. The family is open to flying candidates in and out for working rotations.
While on shift, the nanny is expected to provide 24/7 care as needed, with primary responsibility focused on the two older children who sleep through the night. The role does require comfort caring for all three children on occasion; however, the infant is currently supported by a dedicated Newborn Care Specialist team, and collaboration with that team is expected. A private bedroom and bathroom are provided during working weeks to ensure appropriate rest and privacy.
The children span a range of developmental stages and personalities: the oldest is outgoing and in school full-time with sports activities, the middle child is more reserved and home until preschool begins, and the baby is described as happy and easygoing. The nanny should be confident managing multiple children, engaging them in age-appropriate activities, assisting with homework, coordinating school and activity transportation, preparing meals for the children and family, handling children’s laundry, running errands, and maintaining organization related to the children’s needs. A calm, steady presence is key, particularly given the family’s non-traditional schedule and frequent transitions.
Travel is a significant component of this role, and candidates must be comfortable and experienced traveling with families, both domestically and internationally. A passport is a strong bonus. The parents are seeking someone who can seamlessly blend into their busy lifestyle and understands that strict routines are not always feasible due to work and travel demands.
Flexibility, emotional intelligence, and the ability to roll with changing plans are highly valued.
The ideal candidate has extensive professional childcare experience across infant, toddler, and school-aged groups, strong knowledge of child development, and current CPR and First Aid certification. Early childhood education coursework or credentials are preferred. The nanny should be trustworthy, calm, organized, positive, and genuinely happy supporting children in a high-demand environment. A valid driver’s license is required, with mileage reimbursement provided if a personal vehicle is used. An NDA is required, and there are no pets in the home.
This position offers $120,000+/year gross, commensurate with experience, paid via payroll. The family is open to covering travel costs for rotational schedules, including flights for on/off weeks. Additional benefits include paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick days, a potential health insurance stipend, and full travel accommodations while on duty.
