DALLAS, TX- A warm, thoughtful family is seeking an additional dedicated, flexible, and energetic Nanny/ Family Assistant to join their household as soon as possible. The position offers a Monday through Friday fluid schedule, guaranteeing 25 hours per week, with the flexibility to increase to full-time hours for the right candidate. Weekends may be needed some weeks, so must be flexible overall. Option that the schedule will also overlap/ rotate with their current full-time nanny, TBD. The nanny will care for two wonderful children, a 5-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter, both bright, active, joyful, and deeply loving. The children thrive with movement and play and love spending time outdoors, whether exploring their spacious backyard with a tree fort, sandbox, and swings, or heading to one of the many nearby gated parks. They also enjoy library visits, arts and crafts, listening to stories, music, and imaginative play of all kinds.
The family values stability, consistency, and long-term partnership, and they hope to find someone who genuinely wants to grow with them over the years. Compensation is open via payroll, depending on experience, with overtime paid when applicable. While daily start and end times vary slightly, the family is happy to collaborate with the nanny to create a schedule that works well for both parties. They are also exceptionally respectful of their nanny’s time and always honor the agreed-upon end of shift. In rare situations when slight adjustments are needed due to on-call obligations, they will always provide at least 72 hours’ notice and never more than one or two instances per month.
The family is seeking a nanny who is trustworthy, caring, active, creative, and detail-oriented, someone with a warm presence who brings both structure and fun to each day. The ideal candidate is playful and energetic but also patient and able to pivot with ease when plans change. Experience with children who have mild ADHD, or a willingness to undergo paid training with their occupational therapist, is required. Experience with gifted or highly curious learners is also valued. Safety is the family’s top priority, and they maintain a very mindful home environment, including a fenced pool, strict helmet rules, and attentive supervision indoors and outdoors.
Responsibilities include driving the children to and from school and activities, planning fun and enriching outings, running occasional errands, preparing simple meals for the children, handling child-only laundry, keeping the play areas tidy, rotating toys, and supporting early learning and development. A fully maintained “nanny car” is provided for all transportation needs. There is no heavy cleaning. The grandmother occasionally brings her small 9-pound dog when relieving the nanny once or twice a week. Immunizations required include COVID with booster, annual flu shot, and standard childhood vaccinations. The family offers paid sick days, paid holidays, and paid vacation. Mom is a surgeon, so an NDA is required solely to protect patient confidentiality, as the parent occasionally takes patient calls while on duty. The family’s neighborhood offers easy parking, beautiful streets for walking, and several parks within a short drive.
This is a truly special opportunity for a nanny who is looking for a long-term, respectful, and collaborative relationship with a loving family. If you are nurturing, energetic, safety-minded, and excited to become an integral part of their home, they would be thrilled to welcome you!
