Potomac Falls, VA(Local Candidates Preferred) - This warm, energetic family of seven is seeking a loving, experienced, and flexible full-time live-in nanny to join their household and primarily support the care of their twin boys, who will be just over one year old at the time of hire. The role is centered on infant and toddler development, with additional balanced support for the family’s older children—ages six, four, and two—working in close partnership with a stay-at-home mom. The nanny will never be expected to care for all five children at once, but should thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented household. They are looking for someone nurturing, positive, organized, and proactive, who communicates well and truly enjoys being part of a busy, joyful home. Experience with infants or twins is strongly preferred, and the nanny must be comfortable learning g-tube care for one of the twins, who is otherwise healthy and expected to wean off additional medical support next year.
This position may be live-in or live-out, with the live-in arrangement offering a beautiful private suite in the lower level of the home, complete with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchenette, kids' laundry, gym access, and a comfortable living area. The family has a housekeeper for deep cleaning and laundry support. The family’s neighborhood is ideal for active individuals, offering walking paths, nearby parks, a community pool and tennis courts, and proximity to the family’s country club accessible by golf cart. A sample schedule is: Monday–Friday split shift (7:30–8:30 a.m. and 12:00–8:00 p.m., approximately 45 hours per week).
The nanny’s responsibilities will include engaged, developmentally supportive care for the twins; assisting with school drop-offs, pick-ups, or activities for the older children; tidying and organizing children’s play areas, bedrooms, and common spaces; handling children’s laundry; and preparing simple, healthy meals for the children. The family values teamwork and reliability and hopes to find a long-term fit who can provide consistency and warmth in the children’s daily lives. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires help during morning and evening routines, especially when dad travels for work. The nanny should also be open to occasional travel with the family, including potentially joining them for a month-long summer trip. Compensation includes paid vacation, holidays, and sick days.
The nanny must be comfortable learning simple medical routines, willing to collaborate closely with mom, and excited to support a loving, structured, and active family environment. The anticipated start date is January 8th, 2026. Pay is $30-32/hr based on experience.
