Infant Close Up

CARLSBAD, CA (OPEN TO RELOCATION CANDIDATES) - A warm, professional family in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a PART-TIME/FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT NANNY to provide consistent, compassionate support for their newborn beginning immediately after birth in April 2026. This position is perfect for an experienced caregiver who is passionate about early development and dedicated to supporting families through the postpartum period.

The nanny will provide approximately 4–6 hours of daytime support, five days per week, focusing on recovery assistance for mom, nursery organization, and light household help to maintain a calm and nurturing environment. The family will guarantee 20 hours per week.

This role will work in close collaboration with the family’s overnight Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) to ensure continuity between nighttime and daytime routines, share observations about sleep and feeding progress, and help implement consistent developmental strategies. Initially, the position will be part-time while the NCS provides overnight care, then has the option to expand into a full-time, long-term role as both parents resume full-time work. The family hopes to build a lasting relationship with a nanny who will continue supporting their child’s growth and development well beyond the newborn stage.

The ideal candidate will be nurturing, proactive, and highly attentive to detail, with a confident understanding of newborn care and developmental milestones. The family values a warm, organized professional who can anticipate needs, communicate openly, and collaborate seamlessly with parents and the NCS to create a balanced daily rhythm.

The candidate should be passport-ready, as the family plans to travel internationally and would like the option for their caregiver to accompany them. The home is located in a safe, family-friendly suburb of San Diego, and the family has two friendly cats, so comfort around pets is important. All candidates should be up to date on CDC-recommended vaccinations, including Tdap, influenza, and COVID.

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, approximately 4–6 hours per day, beginning immediately after birth

COMPENSATION: $35+/hour gross via payroll, commensurate with experience

BENEFITS: Paid holidays, vacation, and sick days; relocation assistance available for the right fit

This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated, professional nanny to partner with a kind and thoughtful family from the very beginning—helping to establish strong routines, promote developmental growth, and create a peaceful, supportive environment for both baby and parents.
