CHICAGO, IL (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - We are thrilled to support a warm and active family in Chicago, IL, in their search for a PART-TIME TEMPORARY LIVE-OUT nanny to care for their three young children, a 3.5-year-old daughter, a 20-month-old son, and a newborn arriving mid-September. This is a temporary role running from September through April, with summers off. The family’s ideal scenario is to work with the same nanny each year on this schedule, building consistency and a long-term relationship with their caregiver.

 

Mom is welcoming her new baby any day, and while the exact daily schedule is still being finalized, guaranteed hours will be provided to ensure consistency of pay. Flexibility is key for this role. The family needs someone who can support them during afternoons, some evenings, and occasional weekends, as Dad travels heavily for work.

 

The ideal candidate will be outgoing, reliable, punctual, and an excellent communicator, able to keep parents updated and maintain a smooth daily flow for the children. Responsibilities will include planning engaging activities, managing nap and bedtime routines, preparing healthy meals for the children, light housekeeping, running occasional errands, and driving the children as needed. The family values someone who can travel with them on weekends or extended trips when needed, and bring consistency, warmth, and structure to the home.

 

This position begins as soon as possible. Benefits include paid holidays (at the family’s discretion), 5 paid vacation, and sick days. Compensation is offered via payroll and is competitive, commensurate with experience. They are offering $25+/hr gross via payroll.

 

Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
  • UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
  • THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
  • A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
  • 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
  • EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES
  • U.S. DRIVER’S LICENSE (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NYC RESIDENTS)
  • MUST BE A COMPETENT SWIMMER (IF AND WHEN REQUIRED)
  • NON-SMOKER
  • MUST BE LIVE-SCANNED AND REGISTERED WITH TRUSTLINE IF YOU ARE CA RESIDENT
