Nanny holding Infant

BANKS, OR-  A wonderful family in Banks, Oregon—just 30 miles west of Portland—is seeking a warm, experienced, and reliable nanny to care for their infant son, who will be five months old at the start of employment in late October 2025. This unique part-time position follows a rotational schedule aligned with the father’s career as a Merchant Marine Captain: the nanny will work full-time hours (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, typically 7/8 AM–3/4 PM) for four consecutive weeks while he is away at sea, followed by four weeks off. The ideal candidate is a career nanny with 8+ years of professional experience, particularly with infants, who is confident supporting feeding, naps (including contact naps), developmental play, and daily routines.

The family describes themselves as laid-back, fun-loving, and open communicators, and they value a nanny who is both professional and personable; someone who can work autonomously while also being comfortable with mom working from home in an open floor plan. Their home is nestled in a beautiful rural neighborhood with two acres of natural land, walking trails, and friendly free-roaming farm animals and pets, making this an ideal role for a nanny who loves nature, animals, and the slower pace of country living. Responsibilities will include general infant care, light housekeeping related to the child, children’s laundry, simple meal prep, and occasional errands or transportation (mileage reimbursed). While travel is not required, the family is open to future opportunities for travel care with ample notice.

The family offers $30–32/hr gross via payroll, along with paid holidays falling within the nanny’s scheduled working rotation. They are also open to providing a year-round health insurance stipend to ensure continuity of coverage during both working and off rotations. Candidates must be willing to sign an NDA, have up-to-date vaccinations (TDAP, MMR, flu, and COVID), be comfortable driving on gravel roads, and enjoy a homebody lifestyle with plenty of indoor and outdoor time at the family’s property. Bonus points if musically inclined, as the family has instruments in the home!

This position is perfect for an experienced, nurturing, and dependable nanny seeking a long-term relationship with a loving family and a truly unique rotational schedule.
