UPPER WEST SIDE, NYC (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED) - A warm and professional family is seeking an experienced FULL-TIME NANNY to care for their infant son, who will be 5-6 months old at the start of the position. This role begins in mid-October and offers a guaranteed 45 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. While the family is ideally looking for a long-term placement, they are also open to candidates seeking a 1-year commitment.
The ideal candidate is highly responsible, confident with infant care, and able to take full ownership of the daily routine while remaining aligned with the family’s parenting approach. Their son is an easygoing, sound-sleeping baby who thrives with warmth, attentiveness, and structure. The position will include bottle feeding stored breast milk, facilitating naps, and actively engaging him in developmental play. During nap times, the family would appreciate light household assistance such as laundry, tidying, and keeping common areas organized.
This position is based in a lovely two-floor apartment just one block from Central Park. The family’s home includes a private backyard and a nearby playground, providing a wonderful environment for outdoor time. The family also has a sweet 5-year-old Labrador Retriever and would prefer candidates who love dogs and would be willing to let her out into the yard occasionally.
Both parents work, Dad from an office full-time and Mom in a hybrid role, so the nanny should be comfortable managing the day independently and navigating a collaborative home dynamic when needed. The family is looking for someone educated, communicative, ambitious, and proactive, with a thoughtful, gentle presence.
This position pays $30-35+/hour gross on payroll, with paid sick days, holidays, and vacation. The family values professionalism and reliability and is eager to welcome a candidate who will become a trusted and loving presence in their son’s early years. Candidates must be up to date on Tdap, flu, and COVID vaccinations.
