DALLAS, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED) – A warm and thoughtful family is seeking a FULL-TIME, LONG-TERM NANNY to care for their bright, cheerful, and highly active toddler son. They are looking for someone naturally kind, positive, and deeply caring; an individual who is passionate about early childhood development and thrives in an organized, detail-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will bring fresh energy, reliability, and a genuine sense of pride in their work, creating a safe, loving, and stimulating space for their child to learn and grow.

 

The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, totaling 50 hours per week with 10 hours of guaranteed overtime pay. Daily responsibilities include providing engaged and developmentally appropriate care, planning enriching activities, preparing healthy meals and snacks, and keeping all child-related areas tidy and organized. The role requires someone who is energetic, proactive about safety, and confident in fostering an environment that supports curiosity and growth. A few years of professional childcare experience, either in a respected nursery, preschool, or private home setting, along with strong knowledge of toddler development, is preferred.

 

The family is health-conscious and maintains a clean diet, avoiding refined sugars and processed foods. A separate housekeeping team manages the home, allowing the nanny to focus entirely on childcare. The family offers a base salary of $30+ per hour, plus time-and-a-half for overtime, with a planned pay increase when a second child is born in the coming years. Benefits include paid federal holidays, 10 additional paid holidays, and anticipated annual Christmas bonuses.

 

Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
  • UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
  • THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
  • A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
  • 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
  • EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES
  • U.S. DRIVER’S LICENSE (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NYC RESIDENTS)
  • MUST BE A COMPETENT SWIMMER (IF AND WHEN REQUIRED)
