CYPRESS, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A loving and active family in the Cypress/Tomball area is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and dedicated FULL-TIME NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER to provide care and support for their four children, with a primary focus on their 8-year-old daughter, who is intellectually disabled and nonverbal. This is a long-term position ideal for a candidate who is highly dependable, organized, and eager to become an extension of the family.
The family’s daughter is sweet, easygoing, and attends a therapy school from 9 AM to 4 PM on weekdays. The nanny will focus on caring for her before and after school, as well as on weekends, while also helping with their 6-year-old son. The two older children, ages 11 and 13, are largely independent but may require occasional support. Weekends are an essential part of the role, as the children’s schedules are busy with sports, activities, and travel. Flexibility is key, as the family’s routine can shift with tournaments, trips, and special events.
When the children are in school, the family welcomes a candidate who is interested in adding household manager duties such as organization, errands, light meal prep, or coordination with vendors. The home is active and full of opportunities for outdoor play, with a trampoline, pool, pond, and a large yard. The ideal candidate will be someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with kids, is trustworthy, and shares strong family values.
This role involves a combination of weekday, evening, and weekend hours, with typical shifts on Thursdays from 7 AM to 8 PM, Fridays split between morning and afternoon coverage, Saturdays from 8 AM to 8 PM, and Sundays from 2 PM to 8 PM. There will also be opportunities for overnight care and domestic travel, though the family’s special needs daughter will typically remain at home during out-of-town trips. A household car is provided for on-duty use.
The family offers $25-$35/hour gross via payroll, along with paid sick days, holidays, vacation, and potential relocation assistance for the right candidate. Tdap and influenza vaccinations are preferred but not required. This is a wonderful opportunity for a caring professional who can balance warmth with attentiveness and who is ready to step into a vital role in a close-knit, welcoming home.
