CORTLANDT MANOR, NY (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A warm and busy family is seeking a reliable and proactive Household Manager and After-School Driver to support their two teenage daughters, ages 15 and 17. This long-term, part-time position is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized individual who enjoys supporting older children and keeping a household running smoothly. The role is Monday through Friday from 2:00 to 7:00 PM and begins late-August or early-September.
The primary responsibility will be to pick up the younger daughter from school and drive her to extracurriculars and appointments, as the older daughter will be attending an internship and no longer available to assist. Candidates must have a clean driving record and their own reliable vehicle. Federal mileage reimbursement will be provided monthly.
In addition to transportation, the role involves a variety of household management tasks such as laundry, meal prep, and general organization. The family is seeking someone who can keep common spaces tidy, ensure the children’s rooms are organized, rotate seasonal clothing, and support with light home inventory and errands. While the family has a housekeeper once a week, the ideal candidate will help maintain the home’s order throughout the week and occasionally coordinate with vendors such as plumbers, HVAC professionals, or landscapers.
Light kitchen upkeep and projects like wiping down drawers or cabinets may also be requested.
This family deeply values kindness, dependability, and a team-player mindset. They follow the school calendar and hope to align planned time off with holiday breaks. While summer schedules are more relaxed, the role will remain steady with more emphasis on household management. Compensation is $30/hour via payroll, and the family provides paid time off and sick days. A hypoallergenic labradoodle is part of the household, so comfort with pets is necessary.
If you're a self-motivated, thoughtful professional who takes pride in maintaining a well-organized home and enjoys supporting teens as they grow into independent young adults, this could be the perfect fit.
