
NATIONWIDE SEARCH- WAKE FOREST, NC- A thoughtful and highly communicative family is seeking a reliable, emotionally intelligent, and warm-hearted nanny to support their two children, (7-year-old- boy and 4-year-old girl) Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This is a long-term, part-time opportunity beginning August 20, 2025, with potential for occasional travel and extended hours by mutual agreement.
The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, patient yet playful, and deeply familiar with, or eager to learn about, neurodiversity, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). Their older child is deeply intelligent, curious, and humorous, but also struggles with regulation and can become defiant or aggressive when dysregulated. Their younger sibling is joyful, energetic, and affectionate. The family thrives with caregivers who lead with warmth over control and who can help co-create positive behavioral strategies in collaboration with the parents.
Daily responsibilities include school pick-up, facilitating a structured afternoon routine (limited screen time, free play, dinner, bath, and bedtime prep), preparing simple meals for the children, helping with homework, and supporting light tidying or children’s laundry as needed. The nanny will have use of the family car for all work-related driving. They do not have any pets in the home, and parking is available onsite.
