NATIONWIDE SEARCH- WAKE FOREST, NC- A thoughtful and highly communicative family is seeking a reliable, emotionally intelligent, and warm-hearted nanny to support their two children, (7-year-old- boy and 4-year-old girl) Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM. This is a long-term, part-time opportunity beginning August 20, 2025, with potential for occasional travel and extended hours by mutual agreement.

The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, patient yet playful, and deeply familiar withor eager to learn aboutneurodiversity, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). Their older child is deeply intelligent, curious, and humorous, but also struggles with regulation and can become defiant or aggressive when dysregulated. Their younger sibling is joyful, energetic, and affectionate. The family thrives with caregivers who lead with warmth over control and who can help co-create positive behavioral strategies in collaboration with the parents.

Daily responsibilities include school pick-up, facilitating a structured afternoon routine (limited screen time, free play, dinner, bath, and bedtime prep), preparing simple meals for the children, helping with homework, and supporting light tidying or children’s laundry as needed. The nanny will have use of the family car for all work-related driving. They do not have any pets in the home, and parking is available onsite.

This family offers a welcoming and collaborative work environment and is committed to treating their caregiver with mutual respect and appreciation. The ideal candidate is adaptable, emotionally astute, and genuinely invested in being a grounding and loving presence for two spirited children.  They are offering $30–$35/hour DOE, paid via payroll paid sick days, holidays, vacation time. They are also open to assisting with relocation for the right candidate. Ultimately, the ideal candidate is resourceful, kind-hearted caregiver who can meet children where they arespecially when it’s not easyand someone looking to truly be an extension of the parents, both autonomously and collaboratively! 

Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
  • UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
  • THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
  • A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
  • 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
  • EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES
  • U.S. DRIVER’S LICENSE (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NYC RESIDENTS)
  • MUST BE A COMPETENT SWIMMER (IF AND WHEN REQUIRED)
