MORRISTOWN, NJ (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A warm, welcoming family in Morristown, New Jersey, is seeking a nurturing and experienced full-time nanny to care for their joyful infant daughter, who will be approximately 6 months old at the start of care in early September. This long-term, live-out position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility requested until 6:00 PM. The ideal candidate is patient, fun-loving, and deeply experienced in infant care, with a strong foundation in early childhood development and a passion for fostering curiosity and growth during these formative years.

 

The family hopes to find someone who can partner with them to support their daughter’s daily routine, including naps, tummy time, reading, playtime, and local outings to parks and the library. As new parents, they are eager to welcome a nanny who feels like part of the family-someone who is confident in offering observations and input and who enjoys being part of a collaborative caregiving team. The position includes infant-related duties such as baby laundry, light tidying, and simple meal prep as the child begins solids. Household tasks related to the rest of the family are not expected. 

 

Both parents work a hybrid schedule from their home office and candidates should expect 1 parent to be home each workday. The family has 2 domestic short-haired cats in the home. Candidates should be comfortable around cats and have no pet allergies. The family does not offer relocation assistance and is prioritizing local candidates or those able to relocate independently. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a thoughtful household looking for a loving, attentive nanny to grow alongside their daughter for years to come.

 

Candidates must be up to date on all routine vaccinations, including Tdap, influenza, COVID-19, COVID booster, and MMR. A reliable car is required for local outings, and mileage reimbursement is provided. Benefits include paid sick time, holidays, vacation, and an hourly rate of $30-$35/hr, paid via payroll. The target start date is September 8th, 2025!

Qualifications

 

  • BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5+ YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
  • UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
  • THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
  • A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
  • 5+ YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
  • EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES
  • U.S. DRIVER’S LICENSE (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NYC RESIDENTS)
  • MUST BE A COMPETENT SWIMMER (IF AND WHEN REQUIRED)
