LOS ANGELES, CA (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)- Wonderful first-time parents in North Hollywood seek an experienced and qualified NEWBORN CARE SPECIALIST to provide overnight infant care and postpartum support starting in early August, as their baby is due the first week of the month. The position will last a minimum of two months, with the potential to extend. This is a local opportunity for candidates based in the Los Angeles area. Hours are 12-hour shifts overnight 4-5 nights per week, ideally from 7 PM to 7 AM or 8 PM to 8 AM Monday-Thursday or Monday-Friday, with some flexibility.

 

The ideal candidate is nurturing, dependable, and highly experienced in newborn care; particularly in establishing overnight routines and supporting gentle sleep training. They would look to this person to also help mom postpartum with exercises, activities and/or general support around the home.

 

The family is looking for someone who remains calm under pressure, reads and responds well to a baby’s cues, and respects the parents’ preferences and household routines. Strong communication skills, a gentle and professional demeanor, and a trustworthy nature are essential. They seek someone who is proactive, patient, and genuinely passionate about infant care, offering thoughtful guidance and dependable support during these early weeks.

 

Must have a minimum of three years of overnight newborn care experience and be fully vaccinated for TDAP. Certification as a Newborn Care Specialist or similar advanced training is required, and those with a medical/nursing background, particularly in pediatrics/neonatal, are strongly preferred.
