DALLAS, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - Professional family seeking a PART-TIME, LIVE-OUT NANNY who is dependable, organized, proactive, and fun to care for their three children, aged 6, 8, and 10.

The 10-year-old girl has special needs, including epilepsy. She is sweet and silly, and everyone who meets her falls in love! She enjoys music, playing catch, swimming, and snuggling up for a

good movie. The 8-year-old boy is smart, independent, curious, and kind, while the 6-year-old boy is full of energy, social, and super silly.

The ideal candidate is a professional who will be invested in the children’s development, safety, and growth, and approaches their role with intentionality. Duties include helping their daughter with all activities (including dressing, bathing, meals, and other assistance), while also encouraging her independence/practicing life skills. The family is seeking a go-getter who is ready to engage in age-appropriate activities with all three children, including outdoor play and other fun activities, and who will assist the boys with homework as needed. Should be comfortable with light household duties (such as light meal prep for the children, children’s laundry, and tidying kitchen, play areas, and kids’ bedrooms). Responsible for school pickups and transporting kids to/from outings and occasional extracurricular activities (using family vehicle). The children (and mom) care for the family pets (dog, rabbits, lizards), but comfort around animals is appreciated.

Seeking 30-35 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional scheduling changes due to the parents’ work commitments, and also during the summer. During the school year, hours will generally be 2:30pm–7:30pm plus either Saturdays or Sundays (some flexibility). Occasional travel with the family is optional.

Prior experience with special needs children, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record required. A degree or background in special education (or physical, occupational, or speech therapy) is preferred, and comfort with giving medication to the daughter on schedule is essential. Vaccinations are strongly preferred.

Compensation is $25+/hour gross, plus paid vacation. Start date is mid- to late-July, with local/Texas candidates preferred. Above all, the family is seeking a caregiver looking to become a long-term partner and a key part of their family’s life.
