JACKSON, WY (OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES)--A warm and adventurous family based in beautiful Jackson Hole, WY is seeking a long-term, professional nanny to join their household and help care for their two active and bright boys, ages 9 (soon-to-be 10) and 7. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is kind, joyful, energetic, and deeply invested in children's growth—both mentally and physically.
The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, dependable, and capable of taking full charge when the parents are out of town. The boys are great friends, enthusiastic learners, and lovers of all things active—from skiing and basketball to pickleball, table tennis, and lacrosse. They are also cerebral, curious, and avid readers. The right nanny will be someone who can match their physical energy while also feeding their intellectual curiosity, encouraging exploration, creativity, and positive behavior. The boys are well-behaved and do great in school, but like most siblings, they need a strong, consistent presence to help manage occasional sibling conflicts.
The family is looking for someone with a happy demeanor and who can serve as a positive role model—a nanny who leads with kindness, warmth, and enthusiasm. A sense of fun and flexibility is key, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fully staffed home. The nanny will be expected to work in partnership with a very hands-on mom, providing support where needed—whether that’s with the children or helping manage organizational tasks around the home. They seek a nanny who can tag team with mom to care for the kids and get them to/from school and activities, as well as recognize when mom wants to spend time with her children independently and switch gears to focus on other household tasks during that time.
Candidates must have prior winter driving experience and be confident driving in snow and ice. A family car is provided while on the job. While this position is based in Jackson Hole, the family will live in New York City from September 3 through December 18 and would love for the nanny to join them. Housing will be provided, likely outside the family’s home, for this time period.
This is not a travel nanny role, but the nanny will be responsible for overnight and weekend care several times throughout the year when parents travel. They can travel up to one week in duration, but more often about one long weekend per quarter and one 3–5 day trip each fall, sometimes more often depending on the schedule. They travel with the children for six weeks annually without the nanny. During this time, the nanny will be responsible for help around the house, such as taking in packages, running errands, and providing pet care (for two Bernedoodles). Pay will be at a reduced rate during the six weeks that the family travels without the nanny.
The core schedule is Monday–Friday, 12:00–6:00/7:30 PM, with one late night per week and flexibility as needed. Overnights and weekends will be required when the parents travel independently. Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week. Duties include school pickups, driving to activities, accepting packages, and supporting general household organization, in addition to pet care (walking the dogs daily, scheduling/taking them to grooming appointments/vet visits, etc.). Household/pet care duties will take place between 12-3pm while the children are in school.
Pay is commensurate with experience. Benefits include full health insurance, a $1800/month housing stipend, and relocation assistance, as well as paid sick days, select holidays and paid vacation (aligned with family’s travel when possible). Must be willing to work July 4th, Labor Day, Memorial Day, MLK Day, and President’s Day. Start date is ASAP!
This is a dream role for an adventurous, grounded, and active nanny looking to build a long-term relationship with a family who values warmth, kindness, and curiosity.
