CYPRESS, TX (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY)- A lovely family in the suburbs of Houston seeks a FULL-TIME LIVE OUT NANNY to care for their 4-year-old boy, 2-year-old girl, and baby boy born in December 2024. Hours are from 11am -7:30pm Monday-Friday with the flexibility. The eldest two attend an in-home Montessori program in Katy, TX from 9am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday. The nanny will be responsible for getting the children ready each morning, making and providing breakfast, and driving them to and from school using a family-provided vehicle.
The primary focus will be assisting with the infant while his siblings are in school. This includes designing and maintaining a stimulating and purposeful l environment on a daily basis such as developing age-appropriate sensory activities (e.g., playdough, uncooked rice or pasta, Jell-O, shaving cream) to be readily accessible and regularly integrated into the environment.
Additional responsibilities include helping to maintain a clean and organized home by keeping the children’s spaces—such as bedrooms, playrooms, outdoor play areas, and the arts and crafts cabinet—tidy and well-organized. This includes toy clean-up, light cleaning, managing the children's laundry and dishes, rotating toys and offering feedback on toys or clothing/items that can be donated or replenished. Most of these tasks will be handled during the baby’s naptime or when there is downtime. They have a housekeeper who cleans daily, but the family would appreciate assistance in maintaining cleanliness within the home and assisting with the children’s chores. The nanny will also assist with some meal and snack preparation, as well as manage drop-offs and pick-ups for activities, medical appointments, and other outings as needed. They would love a nanny who is open to traveling with the family on vacations and staycations!
The parents are business owners who work from home in a dedicated office space. The family lives on a beautiful ranch with two dogs, chickens, ducks, cows, and ample space for outdoor play. The dogs and other animals are kept outside, while an indoor pet bunny lives inside the home.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge or experience with Montessori philosophies and be able to create Montessori-inspired activities and enrichment opportunities for the children when they are not in school. A huge bonus for candidates who are bilingual in Spanish/English and can reinforce the children’s language education at home. The family seeks a loving, nurturing individual who will care for their children as if they were their own. The nanny should be calm under pressure, consistent in their demeanor, empathetic, and able to balance being fun and creative with setting clear boundaries. Strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a proactive, engaging approach are essential. They seek a nanny who truly enjoys playing with the children, has high energy, is loving and creative.
