Overview

Sis and Infant

PALO ALTO, CA (STATEWIDE CANDIDATES PREFERRED) — A warm and welcoming family in the Bay Area is seeking a FULL-TIME PORTUGUESE-SPEAKING NANNY to join their household and provide loving care to their two young children: a 29-month-old girl and a 6-month-old boy. This is a collaborative, team-oriented role working alongside another nanny, with the primary focus on their energetic, independent, and clever toddler.

The 29-month-old will begin school in September from 7:00am–1:30pm, Monday through Friday. While the majority of your time will be spent with her, you’ll occasionally assist with the infant during the day. Each nanny will be responsible for one child at a time, ensuring consistent, dedicated 1:1 care. The infant has a hard time taking milk from the bottle, so patience and persistence are important!

The ideal candidate is calm, proactive, and organized, with a strong sense of when to step in and when to step back. A warm, professional demeanor and appreciation for structure will serve you well in this role. PORTUGUESE-SPEAKING ONLY.

The schedule is Monday through Saturday, 8:00am–6:00pm, with flexibility for occasional last-minute help and overnight support when mom travels. This is a live-in preferred position, and accommodations include a private bedroom and bathroom within the family’s home. The family is open to out-of-state candidates and will cover relocation costs, including airfare and extra luggage or boxes, though preference is given to candidates currently based in California.

Primary responsibilities include full care of the children, organizing toys and play spaces, managing children’s laundry, and keeping all child-related areas tidy. Occasional light pet care is appreciated, such as feeding or changing the pad for the family’s Pomeranian. While travel plans are not yet confirmed, the family typically visits Brazil during the holidays and may travel to destinations like Hawaii.

This role offers $40–$45/hour, paid via payroll, with overtime paid additionally. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays, and vacation. The family is seeking a nanny who is fully up to date on vaccinations, including TDAP, flu, and COVID. If you’re a dedicated, experienced nanny who thrives in a dynamic, respectful household and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team, this could be a wonderful opportunity. State date is ASAP!
