LAKE OSWEGO, OR (NATIONWIDE SEARCH) – Warm and loving first-time parents, just outside of Portland, seek an experienced and professional FULL-TIME NANNY to care for their baby girl, expected to arrive in April 2025. The family has arranged for a dedicated newborn care specialist for the first three months, and they are now looking for a career nanny to provide nurturing, developmentally focused care as their daughter grows. This position can be live-in or live-out, with live-in accommodations including a private bedroom and bathroom in their spacious home.
They seek a highly experienced career nanny with vast infant knowledge and a strong background in early childhood development or education—someone who can help their daughter thrive and surpass developmental milestones. The ideal candidate is well-versed in child development and can design and implement evidence-based activities that stimulate cognitive growth, motor skills, and emotional development. They are looking for a nurturing, engaging, and proactive nanny who will incorporate reading, tummy time, and play-based learning into daily care. A second language such as Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, or another language is highly preferred, as the family values multilingual exposure. Candidates must be up to date on vaccinations.
This is a long-term position for a nanny who wants to become an integral part of the family for years to come. The schedule is fluid, with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week, likely more. In addition to overseeing the child’s complete care and development, the nanny will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment and assisting with light household tasks related to the child. They employ a chef and biweekly housekeeping services, so no heavy cleaning is required. The focus remains on the child’s growth, development, and well-being.
Though no travel is expected in the early months, the family plans to travel domestically and internationally and would love for their nanny to join! A family car is provided for use while on the job. One parent works from home, ensuring an open and collaborative environment.
Compensation is $30-50/hour depending on experience and qualifications, paid via payroll. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays, vacation, and a health insurance stipend. The start date is flexible, as early as April or as late as June/July 2025.
