Their son is a high-functioning 2E kiddo who is curious and intelligent and is on the autism spectrum with ADHD. They ideally seek a nanny who has experience working with children on the spectrum, specialized training, certifications, etc.  He is in school 5 days per week from 8am-3pm (4th grade). He is extremely curious, high-energy, kind, passionate, independent and can hyper-focus on his work. He can also be strong-willed and have trouble listening at times. He loves chess, skiing, reading, music, learning, being outdoors, mountain biking, and cooking. He takes some time to pivot (or self-adjust) when plans change. The youngest is in school 5 days a week from 8a-3p (2nd grade). She's joyful, loving, artistic, kind, adores animals and loves to read. She is curious, observant and likes to do things herself.

Nanny will be responsible for taking the kids to and from school when parents are out of town. Must have a safe, reliable vehicle and clean driving record! Duties while the kids are in school may include running errands, picking up dry cleaning, grocery shopping, feeding cat, picking up ski gear or sports equipment needed to after-school activities, etc. OR nanny will start the day in the afternoon picking the kids up from school, taking them to after school activities, managing homework, tutoring drop off/pickup, coordinating play dates, overseeing their daily reading, arts and crafts, outdoor activities and exercise, cooking for the kids and staying through the evening. Household duties include helping with the kids’ laundry as well as spot cleaning the mudroom/kitchen (wiping surfaces, ensuring dishes are put away, assisting kids in cleaning their areas, etc.). Some house-manager duties may include: ordering things for the family online, checking the PO Box, coordinating vendors at their residence (plumber, roofer, etc), setting our trash can weekly for pick up, assisting with recycling drop-off.

The children have lived in Jackson, Wyoming, since 2020 (the family was formerly living in Austin, TX) and have established a wonderful community at their public elementary school with great friendships, amazing teachers, and a safe and supportive environment.  The ideal candidate is educated, trustworthy, honest, has a strong moral compass, is flexible, self-competent, playful, lives a healthy lifestyle and loves to travel. Preference is given to candidates with teaching experience or a degree in education, as well as experience working with children on the autism spectrum and/or with ADHD.
