DALLAS, TX (NATIONWIDE SEARCH)—Wonderful first-time parents in the heart of Dallas, TX, seek an experienced, education-focused FULL-TIME, LIVE OUT NANNY/GOVERNESS to join their household and provide outstanding care for their 6-month-old baby boy. This is a unique opportunity for a career nanny with a passion for child development, education, and nurturing young minds.

The family values candidates who bring at least six years of professional nanny experience with references for children ages 6 months and older. They are looking for someone who is a true team player with excellent communication skills—someone who can confidently offer recommendations but respects and follows the family’s preferences. This role is perfect for a nanny who is collaborative, adaptable, and excited to partner with first-time parents in raising their son.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 6:45 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional weekends, evenings and travel, including overnight stays. The family frequently travels to Houston for extended weekends and to their second home in Florida for up to two weeks at a time, with their next trip planned for the end of March. A family car is provided for work-related use. The family has two small, hypoallergenic Yorkies who do not require care.

The family is highly focused on education and seeks a nanny who can help keep their son ahead of developmental milestones, striving to give him the strongest foundation for his future. They seek a nanny with a deep understanding of child development, an educational focus, and the ability to come up with and engage the child in STEM activities and other age-appropriate enrichment. The ideal candidate is polished, professional, hygienic and is eager to take on a long-term role as the child grows. They are looking for a safety-oriented nanny with experience caring for children of all ages, who can adapt and grow alongside their son as he progresses through each stage of development. A self-starter who can take initiative, research age-appropriate activities, and execute them independently and proactively.

The nanny’s responsibilities will include providing comprehensive care for the family’s 6-month-old baby boy, ensuring his well-being, development, and daily needs are met. Duties include:

  • Engaging in reading, interactive play, and preparing age-appropriate activities to encourage exploration and stimulate development.
  • Monitoring developmental milestones and focusing on the child’s educational progress.
  • Taking the child on outings suited to his age and developmental stage.
  • Establishing and maintaining consistent sleep and feeding routines, while also being attentive to the baby’s natural cues for hunger, tiredness, and other needs.
  • Maintaining open communication with parents regarding all aspects of the child’s care, including a detailed log of his daily routine, development, and well-being.
  • Preparing well-balanced, nutritious meals tailored to the baby’s dietary needs.
  • Assisting in preparations for special occasions, such as birthdays, and providing ongoing care during minor illnesses, including administering medicine with parental consent.
  • Traveling with the family as needed, with advanced notice, and assisting in planning for holidays or weekend visits.
  • Coordinating schedules for naps, meals, activities, and travel to ensure consistency and structure.
  • Performing light housekeeping tasks related to the child, including cleaning and tidying the nursery, bedroom, and playroom; laundering and maintaining the child’s clothing; and sanitizing toys and other baby items as needed.
  • Ensuring the proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment such as sterilizers, car seats, and other baby-related items.

This role offers a highly competitive hourly rate of $40+/hour paid via payroll, along with paid sick days, holidays, and vacation. Preference is for candidates located in Texas; however, relocation assistance is available for out-of-state/town candidates for the right fit. Candidates must secure their own housing. The ideal candidate is energetic and maintains a perfect balance between vibrant enthusiasm and a calm, centered demeanor. They should be loving, caring, honest, and approach their work with a consistently positive attitude.

This position is perfect for a dedicated nanny who is positive, loving, caring, and flexible. If you’re passionate about fostering development, building strong relationships with families, and creating meaningful learning experiences, this is an incredible opportunity to join a warm and collaborative household in Dallas, TX!
