Overview

Field 4yro Boy & 2 yro Girl

DENVER, CO (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED)- Busy, dual-working parents seek a FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER to care for their three children, two boys, ages 8 and 5 years, and a 1-year-old girl. The position is 40-50 hours per week, primarily Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM–5:30/6 PM, with flexibility for occasional overnights or late nights when both parents travel or have late meetings.

They are looking for a dedicated and experienced full-time nanny to provide loving, age-appropriate care for their children and keep the home neat, organized and functional. The two eldest boys attend school from 8 AM–3 PM, and the youngest attends a nursery program from 8–11 AM at one of her brother’s school. After returning home, she has lunch and naps.

The nanny will engage the children in educational and recreational activities that promote intellectual, social, and emotional development, while maintaining routines such as mealtimes, nap times, and playtime. Responsibilities include managing the children’s activities—schoolwork, extracurriculars, playdates, and appointments—and assisting with light housekeeping related to the children, such as cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas and bedrooms, and handling laundry. A full-time housekeeper handles deep cleaning, but the nanny should ensure common areas are tidy and clutter-free for efficient cleaning.

Other duties include fostering age-appropriate responsibilities, implementing discipline aligned with the family’s core rules (kindness, respect, no whining), and preparing healthy meals and snacks while accommodating their son’s tree nut and fish allergies. The nanny will cultivate a nurturing, calm, and disciplined environment using positive reinforcement, clear boundaries, and consistent behavioral guidance.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing the family calendar, appointments, and household administrative tasks.
  • Driving the children to/from school and activities. A personal vehicle is preferred (mileage reimbursement provided), but a family car is available for transporting all three children. A valid driver’s license and excellent driving record are required.
  • Providing overnight care during weekdays or weekends when both parents travel.
  • Occasionally traveling with the family, including international trips (valid passport required).

The role also involves supporting home organization projects (e.g., tidying cupboards, putting away holiday decorations), running errands (e.g., grocery shopping, shipping items, purchasing gifts), and contributing proactively to household needs.

The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, independent, and passionate about child development. They should excel in managing the demands of multiple children while maintaining an organized household. Both parents have demanding careers, so flexibility and reliability are essential. A proactive, high-agency approach is valued—anticipating needs, thinking ahead, and contributing during downtime.

The older boys are high-energy, smart, and strong-willed. The ideal candidate will be kind yet firm, capable of setting boundaries, holding the children accountable, and creating a calm environment. The eldest exhibits signs of high sensitivity and possible ADHD (though not formally diagnosed). A nanny with a background in education, child behavioral therapy, child psychology, or teaching experience would be an excellent fit. They should adapt approaches to meet each child’s unique needs, invest time in understanding the children, and help them thrive.

The family seeks someone responsible, proactive, affectionate, and nurturing, with the energy to keep up with active kids. They value a candidate who enjoys working with children of various ages and understands developmental milestones.

Pay is $30-40/hour, commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays and vacation. Start date is ASAP!
