WELLESLEY, MA (NATIONWIDE SEARCH) – A warm and welcoming family just 15 miles outside of Boston seeks a nurturing and experienced FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT NANNY to partner with in caring for their 2.5-year-old girl and  3-month-old boy. The schedule is Monday-Thursday, 8 am to 6 pm, and Friday, 8 am to noon, with occasional flexibility for additional hours as needed.

Dad works from home, and Mom stays at home. They seek a nanny who can take the lead in caring for the children and implementing a Montessori-inspired approach, guiding their children’s growth through play-based learning, hands-on activities, and outings. Responsibilities include planning engaging, age-appropriate activities and creating a child-centered learning environment by thoughtfully structuring the playroom to support child-led exploration and development. Their daughter is active, independent, and creative, while her baby brother is easygoing and happy. The nanny will engage the children in age-appropriate educational play and organize enrichment activities to foster learning, creativity, and social development.

The family seeks a proactive, organized nanny who will research and recommend local family activities and develop a network of playgroups and classes. In addition to childcare, responsibilities include preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children, tidying up, doing the children’s laundry, and unloading the dishwasher. A bonus for candidates willing to do occasional meal prep for the whole family! The household includes a friendly Golden Retriever who requires no pet care. There may be domestic travel 3-5 times per year, typically over extended weekends.

The ideal candidate is a warm, attentive, and nurturing caregiver who prioritizes safety and well-being. This person has a solid background in early childhood education and developmental milestones, with a special emphasis on the Montessori philosophy, creating a child-centered, respectful, and enriching environment. Strong communication skills with both children and adults are essential, as well as recent experience caring for multiple children of similar ages. The family values a self-starter with a strong work ethic who actively supports the household by assisting with light tasks when possible.

Compensation is $30-40/hour, paid via payroll. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays, and vacation. A potential health insurance stipend is negotiable for the perfect candidate. Relocation assistance is offered for candidates relocating from out of state; however, housing is not provided. Start date is January 2025!
