Nanny holding Infant

MIAMI, FL (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED)- First-time parents in a private, gated neighborhood in Miami seek a highly qualified and experienced LIVE-IN or LIVE-OUT NANNY for their 3-month-old baby boy. He will be cared for by a dedicated newborn care specialist for the first four months, after which the nanny will take over primary care responsibilities.

The schedule is a minimum of 25-35 hours/week taking place on Monday, Thursday and Friday from 1-6pm and 2 potential overnights per week from 9am-7pm, ideally on Wednesdays and Sundays if the child is not yet sleeping through the night. Once the baby is sleeping through the night, the schedule will shift to a daytime schedule. Without knowing the baby's schedule and sleep patterns this early on, the schedule is subject to change and they need a flexible nanny who can roll with the punches!

The family is open to both live-in and live-out candidates. Relocation assistance is provided for candidates relocating from out of state. For live-in arrangements, the nanny will enjoy a private bedroom and bathroom within the family’s residence. The family plans to travel together four times in 2025, with each trip lasting 2-3 weeks. Therefore, they are looking for a nanny who is flexible and holds a valid passport to accompany them on these trips.

The ideal candidate will be nurturing, attentive to all details, and capable of providing exceptional care for their baby boy. Strong communication skills, discretion, and respect for boundaries are essential. This role requires a warm and hospitable demeanor, ensuring both the baby and parents feel comfortable and supported.

Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care, such as feeding, diaper changes, soothing, and monitoring; establishing and maintaining a consistent sleep schedule and routine for the newborn; maintaining a clean and safe environment for the baby; and communicating effectively with parents regarding the baby’s activities, health, and progress. Ensuring proper hygiene and care standards are followed is crucial. Duties will shift as the baby grows.

Qualifications for the role include proven experience as a professional career nanny; experience with infants; excellent communication skills with the ability to update and inform parents regularly; high level of discretion and respect for the family's privacy. Must be CPR and First Aid certified. The ideal candidate has a warm, nurturing, and hospitable demeanor, can work independently, is detail-oriented and is flexible and adaptable to the family’s needs and preferences. Professional references from previous positions in similar roles are required.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, paid via payroll. Benefits include paid vacation, sick days and major federal holidays. Start date is March 1, 2025!
