Overview

Nanny holding Infant

PHOENIX, AZ (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - Same-sex Christian family is seeking a FLEXIBLE LIVE-OUT NANNY for their 3-month-old. The family is seeking a candidate who is comfortable commuting to the Scottsdale or Chandler area as the family may move soon. These are first-time parents and will need a nanny who is a mature professional and strong communicator who can easily share information with parents.

The family will guarantee 30 hours/week for the nanny. Candidates should be flexible to work 1 awake overnight shift a week. The schedule will be communicated in advance and will be balanced with the daytime schedule to ensure proper sleep and rest for the nanny between shifts. There will be times when the family is traveling up to 3 days at a time and they would like to nanny to join them for those trips, when possible. No passport is needed at this time.

The tentative schedule, below, is roughly 3+ days/week working 4-5 hours/day with flexibility for extra hours as needed and communicated.

  • Monday 1:30 pm - 6:30 pm
  • Tuesday/Thursday. 2:45 pm - 7:45 pm
  • Friday overnights 8:30 pm - 6:30 am, 10-hour shifts, does a wine down at 8:45 pm - 10, bottle, then sleeps for 5 hours.

The perfect candidate is active, understands growth and developmental milestones, is a strong communicator, and is flexible with their schedule. The parents are seeking a candidate who understands and can be in line with their gentle parenting style and understands no discipline comes from the nanny, but issues are quickly communicated with the family and everyone works as a team to provide support. They prefer not to have the baby cry it out and want a proactive nanny who can anticipate feedings and the baby’s needs.

Duties include taking baby on walks, feeding baby, encouraging routines and solid sleep patterns, following the provided schedule for baby, understanding and encouraging growth milestones, and creating curriculum/age-appropriate activities. Understanding of baby sign language is huge, another bonus is if candidates are bilingual in Spanish. There is no need to drive the baby at this time.

There are pets in the home that need no care, 2 miniature golden doodles, and a very kind pit bull. All animals are heavily trained and registered service dogs.

October 21st is the projected start date. The family prefers all baby vaccinations, MMR, Tdap, plus Covid and Flu. Benefits include PTO + sick days. Pay is $30/hr gross via payroll based on experience.
