Overview

Three White Siblings

DURHAM, NC (NATIONWIDE SEARCH)- A fun-loving, closeknit family seeks a FULL-TIME ROTATIONAL NANNY to help care for their three wonderful children, ages 2-6 years. This vibrant household is filled with love, positivity, and energy, and is looking for a nanny who embodies these same qualities. They’ve had great long-term relationships with their caregivers and are looking to grow their nanny team by adding a career nanny who can seamlessly blend into their dynamic household.

Flexibility is key in this role! The two nannies will work a rotational schedule of either 7 days on/7 days off or 5 days on/5 days off, offering flexibility in return. Typical work hours are from 7 AM to 8 PM, with longer hours required for occasional evenings and overnights when the parents travel or work/attend events. The schedule may vary week-to-week, or even day-to-day! Thus, they seek a nanny who can offer a fair amount of flexibility and roll with the punches.

The family travels 4-5 times a year with the children and takes vacations twice a year. They would love for their nanny(ies) to join!  The nanny will care for the children overnight in the home when the parents travel independently (usually short trips of 1-2 days at a time). During peak work season, they may have travel with children and without.  Must have or be willing to obtain a valid passport!

The nanny has the option to live on-site during their rotation in a separate casita on the property, shared with the other nanny. This accommodation includes a private entrance, bedroom, and full bath. A family car is provided for use while on the job. The family is also open to discussing a potential relocation package if the nanny chooses to relocate and live off-site full-time. However, the family will not cover travel expenses, such as flights, to and from work during the nanny’s rotation.

The children are outgoing, social, and loving. They love to learn and explore the world around them! The two older children attend school full-time—one in 1st grade and the other in kindergarten, both at the same school—and participate in various after-school activities. Mom and the nanny will tag team getting the kids to/from school and their afterschool activities and/or stay back with the youngest and ensure that the household runs smoothly.

Responsibilities include providing complete care for all three children, independently managing their daily routines, activities, and well-being. The nanny will partner with mom to balance caring for the children and managing household tasks, including grocery shopping, packing lunches, meal preparation (light cooking, nothing elaborate), organizing the children’s toys/items and rotating their clothing seasonally, etc. They have a regular cleaning service, so no heavy cleaning or laundry, but would look to the nanny to help keep the children’s spaces neat and tidy, clean after meals/messes, etc.

Both parents are hands on and cherish family time, which can be limited. Thus, they seek a nanny who can seamlessly blend into the household as a pseudo parent and support the family as a whole. Someone who intuitively knows when to step in and provide the parents with one-on-one time and when to step back to allow them private moments with their children. For instance, if the family decides to go on a walk or if the parents are putting the children to bed, they appreciate a nanny who can switch gears and focus on other tasks around the home, such as tidying up after dinner, to ensure everything runs smoothly. They host often and look to their nanny to help prepare for and manage the household during gatherings, ensuring the children are engaged and cared for so the parents can socialize. Pool safety is a priority! Must be confident and comfortable swimming with the children.

The ideal candidate is an educated, seasoned career nanny with experience caring for multiple children. Someone who is comfortable managing all three children solo and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. The family is looking for someone easygoing, flexible, and positive, with the ability to adapt to last-minute schedule changes and maintain a calm, joyful demeanor. Discretion and privacy are of utmost importance. Must be willing to sign an NDA. Professionalism is key. Strong organizational skills, a proactive approach, and a love for creative, outdoor activities are highly valued. Overall, they seek someone who is positive, happy and fun! Someone who is active, engaging, creative; someone the children look forward to spending time with!

Compensation for this position is competitive, based on experience, and will be paid via payroll. Benefits include paid time off and paid holidays, though some holiday coverage may be required around Thanksgiving and Christmas, with flexibility regarding the specific dates. The family is looking to fill this role as soon as possible but is willing to wait for the right fit!
