PUNTA GORDA, FL (NATIONWIDE SEARCH) – A bustling household is seeking a FULL-TIME LONG-TERM NANNY to care for their adorable 4-year-old son with autism. They are looking for someone dependable, professional, caring & naturally nurturing, someone who LOVES playing with kids and doing activities, someone who is high energy and loves to be a nanny! This kiddo is on the move, so they require someone who is not only able to keep up with him but is sincerely interested in having fun with him! Their son is autistic and non-verbal, relying on an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) device to express his needs. He is sweet, smart, and remarkably independent, he may require specialized attention. Ideal candidates should possess experience in working with children with autism and sensory disorders. Candidates with backgrounds in BCBA, ABA, RPT, or speech pathology are preferred. Understanding the safety considerations associated with autism and maintaining vigilance is highly valued by the family.

Tentative/Flexible Schedule

Monday, Wednesday, and maybe Thursday: (SPLIT SHIFT) 7:30 am – 8 am; 4 pm – 6 pm
Tuesday: (Half-day) 4 pm – 6 pm
Friday – OFF
Saturday: 12 pm – 5 pm on occasion
Sunday: a few hours as needed
*1 full weekend off a month as needed

They are willing to guarantee 40 hrs a week. Ultimately, they are looking for someone extremely FLEXIBLE and dependable. The schedule is fluid but as much notice as possible will be provided in advance. Overnights will be required when parents travel for business. Typically, overnights span 4-5 days, occurring approximately 1-3 times per year, along with shorter 2-3 day durations every 2-3 months. Additionally, there may be occasional opportunities for the nanny to travel with the family. This will include 5-day trips twice per year. It is estimated that the nanny will be needed for close to 30 days in total to stay with the family or at their house. The nanny will be required to stay in the home during these periods. Typically, the family does not have two trips in one month, and the next business trip is not until June.

Their son attends school and speech therapy from 8 am-4 pm Monday-Friday, plays at the park from 4 pm- 5 pm, and has dinner and then bed at 7 pm. Duties include complete childcare, as well as transporting the child to and from school. If the nanny isn't local, please consider that driving their son to and from school, which is about 30 minutes north, is crucial. This position will involve a significant amount of driving. A new company vehicle will be provided. The household is fully staffed with a Household Manager, Chef, and Personal Assistant. You must be a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Relocation assistance is availble for the right candidate. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays, and vacation. Pay is commensurate with experience. The position is LIVE OUT only. The start date is ASAP!
