ATLANTA, GA (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED) -A professional Buckhead family is seeking an experienced FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT NANNY for their 2.5-year-old daughter and energetic 5-year-old son. The parents are truly seeking a key participant in the development of the children and any future children the family may welcome. A huge bonus if the candidate speaks Portuguese.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. It is important to note the 2.5-year-old daughter has seizures and the candidates need to be able to be a calm presence during emergencies. The family will educate candidates on how to handle these situations as well. The 5-year-old is in school during the day, so primary care is for the daughter.

Working as a team with the mother, the nanny will divide and conquer the day-to-day including activity planning, transportation, errands, meal preparation, and other related tasks while preserving a peaceful household atmosphere. Most importantly, the nanny will learn the family’s parenting and nurturing approaches and model, teach, and reinforce healthy habits, behaviors, and skills. Additionally, candidates will promote the children’s social, emotional, and physical well-being as they offer comfort, warmth, and security.

Providing consistency throughout the children’s young lives, the candidate will grow with the family and adapt to their needs, playing a critical role in ensuring the children grow into kind, respectful, productive youth, and ultimately adults.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, organize, and/or participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development
  • Provide safe transport to school, activities, and appointments, adhering to motor vehicle rules, regulations, and speed limits at all times (Possession of an automobile with incident-free driving record is preferred, but flexible for the right candidate)
  • Ensure spaces children use are tidied while teaching and reinforcing healthy habits related to organization and cleanliness
  • This includes making beds, cleaning up after meals, putting toys and supplies away after activities, etc.
  • Model and instill strong values such as kindness, respect, and good manners, providing correction as necessary
  • Administer medications and respond to health emergencies with composure
  • Plan and prepare meals for immediate as well as delayed consumption
  • Monitor the environment continuously for safety concerns; preempt safety issues before they become tangible threats
  • Proactively reflect, ask questions, and integrate findings/learnings into approach
  • Perform additional tasks related to children and household operations as requested

The perfect candidate is calm under pressure and understands working with high-profile families and the dynamics of their environment. The family has a cat in the home, so candidates should not have pet allergies. Candidates should have 8+ years of experience as a nanny or equivalent skills and be a self-starter who can align with the family’s parenting philosophy. Candidates should be nicotine-free and non-smokers.

Benefits include 401K + Health Care + PTO + Sick Days + relocation for the right candidate. The family has no vaccination preference at this time. Start date is 1/8/2024. Pay is $30-40/hr gross based on experience.
