PALM BEACH, FL (NATIONWIDE SEARCH): A loving and education-focused family in Palm Beach is searching for a professional, mindful, LIVE OUT ROTATIONAL GOVERNESS/NANNY to join their team in caring for their 2.5-year-old daughter. They seek a nanny who enjoys being an academic mentor. Experience with Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and/or Rudolf Steiner educational methodologies is a plus! In addition to teaching academics, the nanny will be responsible for instilling etiquette and courtesy and fostering a love for learning within their child. The schedule will rotate with a co-educator, making prior experience in team-based work within private homes advantageous for this position.

 

The perfect candidate has a background in working with young children in educational environments, giving them the skills needed to foster both educational and emotional development. Strong communication and emotional intelligence are crucial for this role, as the ideal candidate will serve as a key mentor and member of the team. Must be a self-starter and have a passion for learning and development. Additionally, discretion and valuing privacy are of utmost importance.

 

Tasks include but are not limited to full care for the child, including any laundry, housekeeping, and meal preparation as it relates to the child. Daily schooling and instruction with planned activities and learning plans will be necessary, including organizing the classroom, closets/drawers, ordering/purchasing, administrative functions, and anything related to preparation for curriculum.

 

Candidates must be CPR & First Aid certified prior to hire and have a valid driver’s license. Must have a valid passport and be able to frequently travel both domestically and internationally, possibly for extended periods. Compensation and benefits are flexible, competitive, and dependent upon the candidate's experience and education. What is most important is finding the right resonance and fit for all parties. Start date is ASAP!

Qualifications

BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study 

CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)

Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position

A passion for working with children

Two+ years childcare experience

Excellent work and personal references

U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)

Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
 
Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus

Competent swimmer

Non-smoker

Willing to go through extensive Background Check

Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident

Willingness to show proof of immunizations

No-cell phone driving signed guarantee

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
