LONG BEACH, CA (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - Professional Long Beach mom is seeking a PART-TIME NANNY for their 7-year-old son with high-functioning Autism. The son is unaware he has been diagnosed with autism and the family is seeking a nanny who can help support him with staying on task. Nanny duties include taking the son to the park, playing with him, going on walks, staying active with him, and possibly driving him to his dad’s home on occasion (the nanny would use their own vehicle and the family will reimburse at the Federal Mileage Rate).

Mom works from home and is very organized and a planner who communicates her needs clearly. She is not interested in micromanaging, she wants to trust in this person fully so she can focus on work. She is seeking a nanny who is confident, professional, a self-starter, and who will be proactive while assisting in keeping the house running smoothly. There are 2 dogs in the home, American Staffordshire terriers; 5 and 4 years old. Candidates should not have allergies to pets.

Hours are 3 pm - 7 pm on Tuesday/Thursday/Friday. The son goes to his dad’s home every other Friday for the weekend. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends if needed with plenty of notice. For example, the family are avid sports fans and attend home games during football season. They are looking for someone who could work 5/6 hours on a Sunday from time to time. Mom will communicate any schedule change well in advance.

The perfect candidate will be able to travel internationally with the family for roughly 2 weeks at a time to locations like Costa Rica. The candidates should have a passport or willingness to get a passport.

The family has no vaccination preference. The start date is January 8th, 2024. Pay is $30/hr gross.
