NEW YORK, NY (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY): Busy family in Chelsea seeks a FULL-TIME, LIVE-IN or LIVE-OUT WEEKEND NANNY to care for their son with special needs who will be 4 in November. They are searching for a long-term weekend caregiver preferably with experience and or education in early childhood development. Their ideal nanny is collaborative, great at communication, and open to learning. Providing consistent boundaries, and maintaining a schedule and routine with care and patience will be key.

Their son has been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The family has built a dedicated team that supports his development of life skills, language, and sensory integration. He currently works with ABA therapists, speech therapists, and an occupational therapist. Someone who has experience with ABA therapy, early childhood development, and or speech delay would be ideal. His therapeutic team will have excellent insights on ways to engage him with his environment and aid in development and learning. They are searching for someone who can supplement this and continue his routine and growth while providing loving and patient care.

Their son is described as a perpetually happy child who is always curious and cheerful. He loves traveling, being outdoors, and reading. He is a flexible and easygoing child who enjoys new experiences. A creative caregiver who can provide appropriate outings and activities to nurture growth and education will do well in this role.

The schedule is from Saturday - Monday from 7am-8pm. The primary role is full care for the child, with child-related laundry, housekeeping, and meal prep secondary. Homework and child-related errand running would be ideal. The family has a live-in nanny Tuesday - Friday and a housekeeper in the home Monday - Friday. Driving the family car, swimming with the child, and traveling with the family would be ideal but not a hard requirement.

The family lives in the heart of Chelsea with easy access to multiple bus and subway lines. Their home is right on the High Line which is one of their favorite places to walk. There are multiple parks in the area within a 15-minute walk that their son likes to frequent. The nanny can drive or Uber with their son to additional favorite sites in the city; must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record. Additionally, the option to live-in from Friday - Monday is available if preferred.

Start date is ASAP. Pay is competitive ($30+) and commensurate with experience. Paid PTO, Sick Days, and Vacation will be included. Must have ALL vaccinations (Covid + Boosters, Flu, TDAP).
