MCLEAN, VA (OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES)-Dual physician household 12 minutes outside of DC seeks a FULL-TIME LIVE IN NANNY/HOUSEHOLD MANAGER for their three girls, ages 4, 6 and 8. They are looking for someone who can work a split schedule from 7-10am and 1:30-6pm Monday; 7-10am and 1:30-7:30pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and 1:30-6pm Wednesday during the school year. 40 hours/week guaranteed! There is a true break from 10am-1/1:30pm, except on the rare occasion that school calls for an emergency. Hours will change from a split schedule during the summer months and during school breaks. They would love someone open to babysitting occasionally on weekends, but it’s not a requirement!

The eldest two are in school full time. Mom gets them started on their morning routine and takes them to school. Nanny will start the workday at 7am (except Wednesdays), take the youngest through her morning routine, and drop her off at school at 8:30am. Nanny will then come home to tidy up from the morning (run the dishwasher, start a load of laundry, etc.) and leaves around 10am. There is a break from 10am-1/1:30pm, which is when the nanny needs to pick up the youngest at school and take her to afterschool activities. The eldest two need to be picked up at the bus stop at 3:30pm. The end time is either at 5:30/6 or 7:30pm. Mom typically handles the morning routines on Wednesdays and the nanny starts the day by picking up the youngest from school at 1:30pm. They are open to providing a family car if needed, but it is preferred that the nanny has their own vehicle for use while on the job. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record!

Live-in accommodations consist of a studio apartment above the garage. It is fully equipped with a full bathroom, dining area, kitchenette, study area, and bed. It is truly a separate space with a private entrance, garage, and alarm system. No pets, please!

Duties in addition to childcare include packing lunches for the children, kids’ laundry, meal/snack prep for the kids, and running errands (dry cleaning, shopping for birthday parties, etc.). They have a weekly chef and housekeeper who comes twice per week, so no heavy cleaning other than tidying up after the kiddos.

The family is incredibly kind, easygoing, and down-to-earth. They have had great long-term relationships with former nannies that they still keep in touch with! They want their nannies to grow as people, both personally and professionally. They truly care about their caregivers and treat them as family. They want someone as invested in their family as they are invested in their nanny. Dependability is of utmost importance due to parents’ professions (physicians). Must be reliable and punctual! They prefer candidates who are vaccinated for COVID and the flu.

The girls have a lot of love and energy to give and are looking for a nanny who can give it right back to them! They seek a role model/big sister type personality. Someone whom the girls can look up to and emulate. The ideal candidate is vibrant, outgoing, and loving. A great listener who engages the girls in conversation and play! The oldest is an avid reader and loves to have conversations. She is inquisitive, smart, and very organized. The middle child is warm and empathetic. She is the heart of the family and appreciates quality time. The youngest is goofy and wants someone to be silly with her! She is hilarious but can be stubborn at times. They enjoy taking family trips to the beach, mountains (skiing), Disney, etc., and would love for their nanny to join them!

Pay is $25-30/hour depending on experience via payroll. They are flexible for the right fit! Benefits include 5 sick days and 2 weeks paid vacation, major holidays off and paid. Start date is ASAP, but flexible for the right fit.
