IRVINE, CA - Amazing family currently in IRVINE with 22-year-old son with moderate to severe Autism Spectrum Disorder, is seeking a FULL-TIME PERSONAL ATTENDANT/ CAREGIVER M-F hours typically ~9:30-5:30~7-8 hours/day and this will include one date night. Pay is commensurate with experience + accrued PTO and some paid holidays. Their son is one special guy! He acts very much like a 7-year-old in a 22-year-old body but is also super intelligent and has an uncanny sense of direction! They are looking for someone who can be his buddy, and ensure his safety, someone who will keep a careful watch and who has his absolute best interest at heart. He does have OCD tendencies so someone who is extremely empathetic, patient, organized and meticulous! They would love for this person to become a part of the family; someone who is willing to travel with them including international travel, and or who can stay back with their son when they travel, is also a huge plus! Light housekeeping needed ie vacuuming, emptying dishwasher, make their sons bed and laundry. Must be a team player and have a great attitude- no task is too big or too small! They have two dogs, a tortoise, and chickens. An ideal candidate would be a non-smoker with special needs experience, clean driving record, and dependable car. However there is the possibility of using one of the family vehicles. Their son likes to be out and about in the community and keep busy. He is is overall a great kid; he is funny and smart and active! You must be able to keep up with him. He likes to walk everywhere, go out to eat, to malls, bookstores, places where he can jump (i.e.: indoor trampoline parks), quick grocery shops, etc. looking for someone that is energetic, honest, fun and patient. They are looking for a long-term fit and become like family. Overall, the ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, honest, fun, kind, loving and loyal!
