JACKSON, NH (LOCAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED)- The most lovely family in historic Jackson is in search for their next long-term FULL-TIME LIVE OUT NANNY for their two boys ages 7 and 9 years old! They live in a charming, cozy house with a guest bedroom and with grandparents that live a mile down the road; they have a staff of 15+ people-- it is truly a community atmosphere. Someone who loves the outdoors will love it here as they are surrounded by mountains and rivers. They are looking for someone with a good solid constitution and moral compass-- someone who is innately a warm, sweet and confident person who values safety as their number one priority! The ideal candidate is super hands-on, nurturing, loving, and laid-back-- able to keep their cool under pressure and works well with others. The days and hours are somewhat unconventional as they need coverage Weds-Saturday, 40 hrs/wk. Local candidates are strongly preferred, however, they are willing to consider out-of-state candidates for the perfect fit (please note, relocation/housing is not provided and there is a housing shortage in the area).  They are seeking someone who will play with the kids, help them with occasional school projects and activities, and keep them well fed during their time together. During working hours they ask that the nanny help to keep their home tidy, organized and picked up after the children have gone to bed. Light housekeeping is required as well as folding the family's laundry. The boys go to a small local grammar school which is walking distance to their home. They arrive at 8:20 AM and get picked up by car, on foot, or on their bikes at 3:00 PM. It is imperative that their nanny is vaccinated for COVID. The boys work with a tutor one afternoon a week and after-school they mostly play outside! Both kids are kind, thoughtful and empathetic. Their oldest son enjoys more gross motor activities. He likes to run and bike and be active with his body. Their younger son enjoys those activities too but has a higher interest in fine motor activities like building with Legos, marble runs, and his train set. They both enjoy swimming, skiing downhill and cross country, hiking, and going to our local parks. They enjoy being home and playing on their 5-acre property. Overall, they are funny and a joy to be with! 

 

They look for integrity, kindness, warmth and confidence when they hire their staff. Their nanny must be engaging and interested in their children. They really enjoy being with their kids and it is important to their family that their nanny enjoys being with their children too. They will look for a candidate that is able to set boundaries, in a loving manner, and provide the structure that is consistent with their parenting. They own a restaurant that is open 4 nights a week, Wednesday through Saturday, and their childcare needs fall largely into the evening hours. They always require childcare on Friday and Saturday nights. They would ask for occasional additional hours on Sundays of holiday weekends when the restaurant is open an extra day. They would also ask for occasional additional hours for date nights or business engagements. They might possibly ask for an overnight or two within a calendar year. Their restaurant and market close twice a year for extended breaks and vacation time for their staff. They close for 3 weeks in November and again for 3 week at the end of April/beginning of May. They ask that their staff use these weeks of closure for travel and limit their time off throughout the rest of the year. They plan their calendar a year in advance and their nanny will be able to plan for working holiday weekend Sundays, special events, and have a clear understanding of their scheduled vacation times. Major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day will always be days off. News Year's Eve and Valentine's Day are very busy for restaurants and those days will always be required work days. The nanny position for this family is unique in that their home is attached to their business. They view the position of the nanny to be the most important of all as this person allows the parents to accomplish their work as the leaders of their business. Ultimately, this is an incredible environment to work in and they look forward to finding the right fit to join their family! Pay is open $25hr, DOE + PTO and monthly health insurance contribution.

Qualifications

BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study 

CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)

Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position

A passion for working with children

Two+ years childcare experience

Excellent work and personal references

U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)

Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
 
Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus

Competent swimmer

Non-smoker

Willing to go through extensive Background Check

Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident

Willingness to show proof of immunizations

No-cell phone driving signed guarantee

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
