OPEN TO NATIONWIDE SEARCH: VENTURA, CA - Lovely family relocating from the Bay Area to Ventura is looking for a FULL TIME NANNY for their 5 year old and 20-month-old M-F 10AM -6PM, Pay is open $25+/hr, DOE + PTO. OPEN TO A LIVE-IN NANNY temporarily but ideally they are hiring someone LOCAL who will live out. Must be willing to get the Covid-vaccination when it's available to you. They are looking for a nanny who is honest, reliable, patient, and caring. They would also like someone that has some experience with young children and education as the children will not have outside classes or playgroups for the duration of the pandemic. You will be responsible for all childcare related duties including laundry, light housekeeping, cooking, organizing their bedrooms & playroom, swimming, facilitating activities, games, Arts & Crafts, etc. Must be hands-on, engaging able to stimulate & challenge the kids intellectually, emotionally and physically! Both parents both work from home with a somewhat variable schedule and there may be a few evenings here or there on an ad hoc basis if the nanny is comfortable and available. In the future when travel opens up, they may be interested in having the nanny travel with them and or overnights, but that would be optional. Their older son is very opinionated and loves to talk. He also has a lot of empathy and cares about others; their younger child is very determined and loves to explore. Their neighborhood is a few miles from the freeway and about a mile from a main street. The home is on a cul de sac with plenty of street or driveway parking and about a 1/4-1/2 mile walk to a nice park with tennis courts and a playground. There is also a hiking trail less than a quarter mile away in a canyon. They most likely will not require the nanny to transport the children. The only driving would be to get to their home, so your own personal car for transportation along with DL is required. They do have one cat, so no allergies please!
