VALLEY VILLAGE, CA/ NEW YORK CITY, NY- Down-to-earth BI-COASTAL industry couple looking for a FULL-TIME NANNY M-F 9AM-5PM for their 11-month-old little superhero who has Hemophilia B. Both parents are very hands-on and would love someone who can be an extension of them. Their son is extremely mobile and adventurous which makes things super fun; but they need someone who not only fully understands the fragility of his condition, but also has enough medical experience to be able to handle any emergencies if they were to occur. If anything, this candidate must have the commitment to learn how to handle any possible emergency and is comfortable doing so (ie: taking him to the ER with his prescription). Pay is $25-30/hr, via payroll + PTO. Will consider a health stipend down the road. Overall, their son is the sweetest, happiest and the brightest light-- he is their greatest joy! They are looking for someone who is happy & chill-- no drama! Someone who is high maintenance will not thrive here. The ideal candidate is highly attentive, cognizant of their surroundings (especially the surroundings of the child and what's around him); safety if of utmost importance, can work well under pressure if needed (i.e.: a medical scenario). Looking for someone extremely loving & nurturing, reliable & punctual; someone with a Montessori background is preferred as they are drawn to a more organic, natural childcare approach. Someone who is honest & trustworthy; a team player who is proactive & creative, someone who also brings something to the table-- takes a real interest in his development (emotionally, intellectually and physically) and overall care. Bilingual (Spanish and or Sign Language) is a plus but not required. You will be responsible for all childcare related duties (meal prep, laundry, etc.). Must be a safe driver, car provided while on the job, for transporting child and or running errands as needed. They have two foster dogs (large and one small) so this candidate must be OK with pets. They would love for you to travel with them in the future, passport ready. Start date ASAP is ideal! THERE IS THE CHANCE THEY WILL MOVE TO NYC INDEFINITELY, but need care in LA for the next six months. It is ideal that this person travels/ relocates back to NYC with them. Thus, they are open to NYC residents willing to go to LA now for the next 6 months and then travel back with them. You must be able and willing to find your own accomodations for both locations.
