HOUSTON, TX-Laid back, easygoing parents in the Energy Corridor are seeking a FULL-TIME NANNY from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday to care for their three sweet kiddos, ages 6 (G), 4 (B) and 2 (G). LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY. The eldest two will attend pre-K and kindergarten in August. Sole care will be for the 2-year-old until her siblings need to be picked up from school (within walking distance). They are seeking a nanny who can provide some structure, encourage learning and reading, and help with schoolwork, as the district is undecided what school will look like come August when they return to the classroom. The ideal candidate is ENGAGING and actively involved in the children’s play (arranges crafts, games, activities, etc.). Someone who isn’t afraid to make a mess in the playroom with the kids, but also sets boundaries. They would like thier nanny to manage some basic household cleaning/tidying such as kids laundry, clean/tidy kitchen, clean-up playroom, wash kids sheets/towels once a week and sweep/vacuum floors once a week. The household items can be done when the kids are napping and shouldn’t take priority over spending time with the kids. There is a Cocker Spaniel and cat in the home (no allergies!).They live in a wonderful neighborhood close to parks, walking paths, a nature preserve and bird sanctuary. Must have a reliable car and clean driving record. Mileage reimbursement provided within reason, but most of the kid’s activities and school are in walking distance or within a short radius of the home. Pay is $22-25/hour on the books via payroll. Benefits include paid sick days, holidays and vacation. Start date is early- to mid-August (flexible for the right candidate).

Responsibilities

Planning activities, after school pick up, complete childcare, laundry and meal prep for the kids, keeping the home neat and tidy. 

Qualifications

BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study 

CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)

Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position

A passion for working with children

Two+ years childcare experience

Excellent work and personal references

U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)

Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
 
Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus

Competent swimmer

Non-smoker

Willing to go through extensive Background Check

Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident

Willingness to show proof of immunizations

No-cell phone driving signed guarantee

Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Incentives
