Nanny2Boys

DALLAS, TX-Fabulous parents in central Dallas are seeking a FULL-TIME, LIVE-IN NANNY to care for their two young sons during the work week.  The oldest will be three in October and a newborn is due in September.  There will be a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) taking care of the newborn for the first 14 weeks which should give the nanny time to get comfortable in a new household and with the oldest. OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES, must be comfortable and able to thrive in Dallas (preference to someone who has ties to the area). The ideal candidate is a thoughtful, caring individual who enjoys fostering a love of learning in children at a young age.  They are looking for a nanny who will be there for the children's most formative years: moving to solid food, learning to walk, learning to talk, potty training and all of the general aspects of progressing from an infant to toddler to little boy.  Until both children are in day school full time, the nanny will be their primary companion: feeding, changing, and driving our children to activities.  The job does not require extensive travel out of the Dallas-area. The family plans for this role to be long-term, staying with them for at least the next six years.  They provide a great deal of autonomy to the nanny as both parents work, with one traveling frequently, though they work hard to communicate their principles and values to the nanny so they may be passed on to their children. They do not micromanage nor plan minute-to-minute activities for the children, and instead appreciate someone who is proactive and takes initiative to plan activities for the children (classes, outings, activities, etc.).  Frequent catchups, both formal and informal, will be the primary means of communicating but they expect proactive communication from the nanny should any issues arise. They are a "no screens" house, with small exceptions. Hours vary week by week but are Monday-Friday (no weekends!) for typically 10-12 hours per day, starting around 6:30/45AM (punctuality is of the utmost importance!). Hours ebb and flow based on mom’s work schedule, which often requires travel every other week. They are very respectful of weekends off but might need flexibility for later evenings when mom is traveling and dad has late meetings. They are prompt and schedule will be provided up front.  Late evenings will be known in advance.

Their promise to their nanny would be that they are punctual, collaborative, and available to speak.  They also provide weekly schedules on Saturday/Sunday and strive not to deviate from them. They work hard upfront to ensure agreeance on philosophy of education, behavior, and discipline, so that the nanny will feel comfortable with their autonomy. PRIOR NEWBORN EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. The ideal candidate thrives on autonomy, is organized, neat and tidy-everything has a place! Must appreciate structure and sticks to a schedule. They seek someone who is in it for the long run and willing to grow with the family! Benefits include 2 weeks paid vacation (one week chosen by the family, the other chosen by the nanny), 3 sick days, a subset of paid federal holidays that fall on workdays, healthcare stipend, mileage reimbursement, willing to pay for food. Start date is ASAP but can be flexible within reason for the right candidate. OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES. Willing to help with relocation if necessary.
