NEW YORK, NY-Sweet stay-at-home mom in the UPPER EAST SIDE is seeking a FULL-TIME LIVE IN NANNY to care for her adorable 9-month-old and sweet 9-year-old girls. The 9-year-old is nonverbal and has global delays (no behavioral issues), requiring assistance with everything she does such as walking, eating, bathing, etc. She is in school during the day and attends therapy after school. Mom stays at home but is looking for someone to primarily help when she has both kids in the mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. They are looking for someone who can stay overnight from 7:15am Tuesday morning until Sunday morning at 7:15am. Nanny will have down time when the oldest is in school and is not expected to work 24/7. Nanny will only live in Tuesday-Sunday morning. Mom is looking for a true partner to help care for her kids and keep up with the home. Household duties include light cooking for the kids (a plus if you can help meal prep for the family but not a requirement!), running errands, grocery shopping and light housekeeping. Childcare related duties, which are always the priority, consist of help with morning and bedtime routines, help relive mom if kids are up at night (they usually sleep through the night!), accompanying the 9-year-old to and from school and taking the kids to activities (therapy, parks, classes).  The ideal candidate is sweet, energetic, loving and has an open mind and heart to work with children with special needs. Experience working with children with special needs or paraprofessional experience is a huge plus, as is live-in nanny experience! They travel once or twice per year to Florida or the Caribbean and would love for their nanny to join, but it is not a requirement. Benefits include paid vacation. Start date is ASAP!
