SOUTH ORANGE COUNTY-Wonderful parents in LADERA RANCH are looking for an experienced PART-TIME NANNY for their sweet 13-year-old daughter with special needs. She does not have a diagnosis and is very social and in tune with her emotions but is mostly non-verbal and globally delayed. She understands others and communicates well through gestures, sign language basics and an iPad. She is fun-loving and very easy once you get to know her! She attends an alternative education program with a flexible schedule that is comprised of a learning center and various therapies. Nany would be needed on certain days to take her to therapies and support her routine, getting ready for bed, etc. She mostly just needs slight assistance and reminders to help make sure she is doing things properly (such as brushing teeth, washing face) and helping her along. Overall, she is a happy, fun, go-with-the-flow young lady with a great sense of humor and responds best to others with a similar disposition. She is a typical preteen girl who enjoys getting her nails done, shopping and being silly! Hours are flexible but would ideally be from 2-8PM 3-4 days per week, one day from 11Am-6PM and a weekend day or evening. Mom will take turns taking her to her learning center. When she does, nanny will help around the house, run errands, etc. They have a sweet golden retriever who requires a little attention only in mom’s absence. They would love for their nanny to accompany them on extended annual trips to places like Hawaii and Europe (with time off to explore on your own, of course!). The ideal candidate has personal exposure to special needs (i.e. a family member) or experience directly working with special needs populations. Must be patient, fun and willing to get to know their daughter and become part of this fun-loving family! Their current nanny has been with them for 10+ years—they would love to build the same relationship and trust with their incoming nanny. Start date is June 27th. Pay is DOE + paid vacation!

Take to therapy and education center, help around the house, running errands, extended travel.
