    Prominent family of five looking for a PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE- EDUCATED HOUSEHOLD MANAGER to join their liberal, loving, laid back home. The bulk of the job will consist of household management/personal assistant duties and administrative work such as managing the family calendar and household management through a well-organized Google Drive system and email; managing family schedules and residential grounds; planning events and organizing childcare/transportation; weekly to-do lists and projects; bill pay and vendor management; restocking household items and shopping online; home organization; booking travel; scheduling vehicle maintenance, etc. They have three children (ages 8-15 years) who are the center of the parents' world.  While household management duties are the main responsibility, there will be an occasional need for childcare for their three children possibly 2 hours per day several days per week when their full-time nanny is out, during school holidays, when children are sick, etc. Additional childcare-related duties include managing the children’s schedule, arranging transportation/driving to and from activities in family car, tutoring, meal prep, etc. Schedule is from 7:15AM-7:15PM Monday-Friday with a 1-hour off-the-clock break. Flexibility will be required to occasionally stay late 1-2 nights per week and possible weekends. Weekend involvement will be limited, however there may be some required overnights when parents are traveling as well as opportunities to travel with the family. They are looking for someone who can communicate in “high bandwidth”—lots of information efficiently communicated in a clear and organized way. Someone who is intelligent, organized, and flexible, who can manage electronic communication and electronic to-do lists and online calendars to keep the household running smoothly is extremely important. Must have excellent skills at using Google Docs, online shopping, email communication, calendaring, and electronic tracking of household management are crucial. Must be able to make decisions about household maintenance, communicate with contractors, and be proactive about fixing things, figuring things out, finding manuals online if needed, and anticipating problems. Computer skills, familiarity with spreadsheets and phone applications, password management, etc. are required. Compensation and benefits package (including health) to be determined based on experience after consultation preferences and needs. Seven major holidays and ten days vacation time included, as well as 3 sick/personal days, with additional vacation days earned with each year.

    Qualifications

    BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study 

    CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)

    Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position

    A passion for working with children

    Two+ years childcare experience

    Excellent work and personal references

    U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)

    Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
     
    Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus

    Competent swimmer

    Non-smoker

    Willing to go through extensive Background Check

    Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident

    Willingness to show proof of immunizations

    No-cell phone driving signed guarantee

    Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
