    ROCK TAVERN, NY-Wonderful family is looking for a loving and professional LIVE-IN NANNY 30-40 hours/week. Primary care will be for their newborn while their 4.5- and 6.5-year-old are in school. Must have experience with infants! The schedule will be split while mom is home on maternity leave. The day will begin around 7:30-8am by getting the older kids ready and off to school, watching the baby for a few hours (not full-time alone with infant for the first several months, as mom will be primarily nursing and is very hands on!), picking up the kids at 3pm and taking them to after-school activities. Ideal afternoon hours are 3-7:30/8pm Monday, 3-9/9:30pm Tuesday, 3-6pm Wednesday and Thursday and 3-later on Fridays for a date night (date night can also be Saturday!). Must have a DRIVER’S LICENSE and be comfortable driving in unpredictable NY weather! Family car is provided. There will be weekend care required every 3 months or so when both parents travel. Schedule will be communicated at least one month in advance! There will be 30 hours per week guaranteed in the beginning and at least 35 once mom goes back to work. The family travels about every 3 months and would love for their nanny to come along! Trips are usually domestic to South Florida, but there will be an international trip or two each year (MUST HAVE PASSPORT!). Domestic trips are generally Thursday evening-Sunday morning. Live-in accommodations include a private bedroom, bathroom and living space in the finished basement. Duties in addition to childcare include running errands, laundry and meal prep. Cooking for the kids is a must, but it would also be a huge PLUS if the nanny could also prep meals for the family twice per week (not a deal breaker!). They have a small poodle mix (hypoallergenic) and cat that keeps to itself (must love pets!). Must be an intermediate swimmer (they have a pool!). A PLUS if you’re bilingual or speak Spanish! Benefits include paid holidays and holidays. Start date is October 5th!

    Qualifications

    BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study 

    CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)

    Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position

    A passion for working with children

    Two+ years childcare experience

    Excellent work and personal references

    U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)

    Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
     
    Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus

    Competent swimmer

    Non-smoker

    Willing to go through extensive Background Check

    Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident

    Willingness to show proof of immunizations

    No-cell phone driving signed guarantee

    Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
