    RANCHO MIRAGE, CA-Wonderful family 2 hours outside of Los Angeles is looking for FULL-TIME nanny to help care for their 13-year-old son with emotional needs including anxiety and ADHD. Candidate must have experience in managing behavior (similar to Autism) in the fashion of an applied behavior analysis caregiver. Child is transitioning into home-school and will be working with a tutor 2 hours a day, 3 days per week. Nanny is responsible for taking child to tutoring, as well as planning activities and special outings, playing games and facilitating daily exercise. Additional duties include running errands (mileage reimbursement provided), helping with homework, laundry for the family and keeping the home tidy (housekeeper comes weekly). Child loves to COOK! A candidate who can share that love is ideal. Hours are from 7:30am-3:30pm Monday and Wednesday, and from 7:30am-5:30pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (flexibility during afternoon hours). Ideal candidate is patient, animated, energetic, upbeat, compassionate, understanding, enthusiastic, nurturing, can cook and has a college degree. Must be able to communicate and strategize with parents and tutor as needed. OPEN TO ALL US CANDIDATES (be aware that summers can be quite hot in Rancho Mirage!). Position can be LIVE IN or LIVE OUT. Live in accommodations include a private bedroom and bathroom with a private entrance. Perfect for candidates from the LA area who want to live in during the week and spend the weekends in LA. Pay is flexible depending on experience, background and education. Incentives include paid sick days, holidays and vacation! Start date is ASAP.

    Qualifications

    BA/BS college degree | AA in related field of study 
     
    Experience working with children with special needs (ABA,

    CPR/First Aid Certification (renew as needed)

    Ability to make a one-year commitment unless applying for a temporary position

    A passion for working with children

    Two+ years childcare experience

    Excellent work and personal references

    U.S. driver's license (this does not apply to NYC residents)

    Complete Stop the Silence Training upon Membership
     
    Fluent in English/Bilingual a plus

    Competent swimmer

    Non-smoker

    Willing to go through extensive Background Check

    Must be Live-Scanned and registered with Trustline if CA resident

    Willingness to show proof of immunizations

    No-cell phone driving signed guarantee

    Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
