Mom currently travels 1-2 times per month for about 3-7 nights per trip. Since days of the trips are often confirmed with little advanced notice (several days-3 weeks’ notice), mom is willing to pay a GUARANTEED FLAT RATE each month (can be paid weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) regardless of whether or not travel occurs to guarantee payment for someone willing to work “on call” Monday-Thursdays overnight. In addition, the nanny will also be paid hourly for any hours worked when mom travels, including overnights. Mom will be taking 1-2 international trips per year to London, Tokyo or Australia. During these trips, you are invited to attend (ALL TRAVEL-RELATED EXPENSES PAID FOR!) to watch son while mom in is meetings and would be free during evenings and weekends to EXPLORE A NEW CITY (must have a valid PASSPORT)! International travel is optional; you will still be considered for the role even if you do not wish to accompany the family on these trips. Hours worked during normal travel days are from 4pm-8am each day mom is away. Schedule consists of picking up child from daycare between 4-4:30pm, playing with him, prepping and serving dinner (EXPERIENCE IN THE KITCHEN A PLUS!), bathing, bedtime routine, staying overnight, providing breakfast,  getting him dressed and ready and dropping off at school between 7:30-8:30am. Ideal candidate MUST have a SAFE, RELIABLE car with INSURANCE, a clean DRIVING RECORD and space for a car seat in the back; previous childcare/nanny experience; sound judgement/decision making skills; and a FLEXIBLE schedule that warrants availability during the indicated hours and overnight stays. Must also be extremely RELIABLE, RESPONSIBLE, TRUSTWORTHY and be an excellent COMMUNICATOR (provide mom with an informal report at the end of the day), as well as have high ENERGY to keep up with an energetic toddler (must be willing to get down on the floor and play!) Pay is $15-20/hour (for hours spent both working and SLEEPING) in additional to a monthly flat rate (to be computed as a percentage of monthly salary based on prospective monthly trips and average duration).
